  1. and we'd be top two all season and fail to make the top two due to giving away a 5 point lead in two games and a better goal difference and then lose at home to the worst away team in the country who have already been relegated in our last home game. So i beg to differ.
  2. Rubbish. 2 games left and 5 points clear of third with a better goal difference and a team already relegated with the worst away record in the divsion to play at home on the last day. That would be far worse than anything Cardiff have done.
  3. I wonder how many people will be leaving on 85 minutes to beat the traffic on saturday....
  4. i am devestated. However the report is wrong, it was saturday the 28th April 1984. Check you're calendars. and this link says 28th as well http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/team_by_team_analysis/1983_1984/southampton/index.shtml * wipes brow and breaths sigh of relief at superfan credibility reinstatement *
  5. at what?
  6. If we blow it now it will be the biggest choking since Tennessee Williams.
  7. Yeah i've just noticed it, bo*locks. When i googled Southampton 8 Coventry 2 it definitely came up with the 28th though FFS. Wiki says its the 28th as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1983%E2%80%9384_Southampton_F.C._season
  8. I hope it's Guly, to shut all you moaning c*nts up.
  9. 1984, 28 years to the day, this happened. For those that believe in omens isn't this as good as it gets? http://uk.soccerway.com/matches/1984/04/28/england/premier-league/southampton-fc/coventry-city-fc/570875/

I am amazed anybody expected anything else. I didn't hear anyone saying the same things about Peterborough and Palace when we cruised to victory against teams which did little more than turn up, just like Leicester.
  11. Because the foam hand waving happy clappy delerium on here defies belief sometimes. I honesty think a lot of you think the players rip off their SFC duvet cover, open their SFC curtains in their Saints pyjamas and thank god how lucky they are to play for us every morning. I dont doubt a lot of players are happy here at the moment, why wouldn't they be? But like most players if a better offer came along they'd take it.
  12. I thought Drinkwater played well for them as well. A truely awful player.
  13. It seems like Solentstars is........
  14. no i was there.
  15. those that sat in the pub or at home watching it on the telly bemoaning that it was "too much hassle" should do, yes.
  16. Yes they did. just because no one says anything to you you scruff.
  17. Like i said above. Italians doing things with class and style. What would our angry fans have done; Squirted them in the eye with their "comedy" flower on their clown suit?
  18. The two Middlesborough lads i was chatting to on the way up couldn't speak highly enough about how well dressed we all were. I'm sure they weren't saying the same at the clowns and gimp suits.
  19. 5 points clear and a better goal difference with 2 games left and home game against an already relegated team? I'd say that would take some topping.
  20. As you are well aware fella, all true fans were at Peterborough,
  21. it so people in my home city dont come across like this that i am anti-fancy dress.
  22. Why do you think Italians are renowned for their style? Do you see any Napoli or Inter fans grizzling on the telly dressed in "comedy" bow ties and wigs? I'm sure the ones that think it's hilarious to dress up are the ones who were first in line for the "comedy" ties and matching socks that were popular with accountants a few years back.
  23. and Stuart Downing, Jordan Henderson and Andy Carroll were all happy where they were, but the lure of a club like Liverpool was too great. I'm sure Lambert will stay though, afterall he's happy here, he told you himself.
  24. Of course he might stay, they did say man would never walk on the moon.
  25. Bloke on take me out, or the grizzling clown at the match on saturday, fat messes in replia shirts. It all creates an opinion of the city and it's residents. When you think of Italians for example, you think of stylish, good looking men and women. When you think of Southampton you think of fat messes in clown costumes.
