or to put it another way when was the last time we played Leeds and the stadium was only 2/3rds full. Despite all the excuses of holidays, sky, ticket prices, surprise birthday parties and barmitzvahs 22k would be a huge disappointment. Especially for a club whose fan base think we could over double that and should expand the stadium now to cope with the demand.

That was 1986 mate, clarkes debut. We signed him for 400k after Mexico 86. Our last home win on first day was 88/89 beat west ham 4-0. A young slim MLT scoring the 4th

Mine didn't. It was a simple and dare i say it, delightful mornings shopping. went down to SMS Saturday morning, parked in one of the many spaces opposite the car park in Britannia Road, skipped merrily across he road safe in the knowledge that I had saved a pound. Got to the ticket office, let the bloke who arrived in front of me go first as he had parked in the car park so he too could avoid the charges. Paid for my season ticket received a complete book and strolled back to my car unchallenged with a full season ticket and having beaten the system. Turkish 2 cortese 0 And another example of the benefits of not desperately needing to pay for something ling before you need it.

Do you really believe that all the 8,000 or so fans who went to the league game against Leeds in March 2010 are all on holiday, have surprise birthday parties or christenings to attend? What about the 28,000 extras that went to the JPT final? Where are they? It was only a couple of weeks ago people were saying we could get 45,000 every week. It seems we cant even get half that for our first game back in the championship against a club which is usually one of our biggest gates.

booked 2 weeks in Sharm El Shiekh at the weekend. Going in October.
-
Indeed, wonder where the other 23,000 regulars are?
-
Considering we usually sell out against Leeds, the crowd will include 3,000 leeds fans, so only 19,000 Saints fans and it's our first game back in the championship it's difficult to positively spin such a low crowd.

22k is very, very poor.
-
The J League is no guage of someones potential. Arsne Wenger managed there before Arsenal and look how he has failed over here.
-
I dont know exactly but when i was down the TO saturday they said Itchen North is still closed and it's no where close to selling out. Very disapointing really, i'd hazard a guess and say i'd be surprised if it's anymore than 25k, probably around 22k.

The much-talked about problem family of Southampton
Turkish replied to Crab Lungs's topic in The Lounge
No, but clearly misunderstood. They probably have some sort of mental problem that needs addressing. -
Why is this unreasonable? We are a newly promoted team, the championship is a very level playing field. There are realistically about 3 team who would expect to win the title, 5 or 6 who will be fighting relegation and the rest could make the play offs. I can see Saints finishing anywhere between 4th and 16th, depending on things going right, badly and if we do or dont sign anyone else.

This. Rather than condemning them, we need to understand them, why makes them behave like this? I am sure if rather than judging them we took a time to embrace them and understand their prediciment then they can learn from us and more importantly, we can learn from them. -
My old man lives of Somerset avenue, where he lives is alright. As council estates go it's one of the best ones. Thornhill, lordhill, millbrook and townhill are all a lot worse.

Very much so, you can count on one hand the amount of times he was beaten in the air over the course of last season. What he might lack in pace he makes up for in power and strength. Obviously Nige thinks he is good enough for another season.

Thanks mate. see how easy it is everyone. Some of you need to get over yourselves.

How about a (what verbal thinks) a racist thug (me) mets an upcoming student genius (you) they fall in love over a cocktail of history lessons and appearing in the audience of Question TIme and go off to build orpahnages in Uganda together, meanwhile exposing the diamond trafficers for what they are worth. It'll be Blood Diamond Meets Snatch meets Mama Mia, it'll appeal to everyone, altought we'll need to make it a muscial for the gay audience take it seriously.

and all of a sudden he appears just like Clark Kent in his tight fitting costume, the voice of reason, the boy next door with the proffessor mind. Now everything seems so real again. You truely are everything i aspire to be, my super elite associate. xxx

not before he's cut off her cl*t, that i want to see.

But the best thing of all is that you have on demand w*nk fuel, isn't it pal.

Missed you loadsxxx To follow on from your idea of the West End Muscial about us, i love the idea of a modern internet gay romance, played out to a back drop of 70's-10's music. Prehaps we could meet in a club to the last dance, "you're the best thing" by the style council, then Verbal could appear, trying to break us, he could have the music Darth Vadar enters to on the the star wars films. We should walk off in a blaze of glory though, me and you, into the distane, with the Courteneers, "take over the world" that could be our song honey. Just lose the wrist bands and the weight and it could be yours. I looked into his eyes and i swore i've never written a cliche before and i'll probably never do so he is beautiful though I think it's time for me and you, to take over the world..... It was written for us baby, changing the her to his and she to he, etc etc xxxxx

I've never understood why Englands shocking performances at final stages means we are always seeded. I dont rate or like the England team and found our faliure in the last word cup almost as funny as it was predictable, which is quite sad for someone who 10 years ago was a fierce and proud England fans. Anyhow, FWIW, we should cruise the group, with our "world class" players, Ukraine and Poland away will be tricky. As a proper football fan though, the two France v Spain games will be interesting as will Group A, Serbia, Croatia and Macedoina, firey to say the least!
-
exactly this. They aren't not going to do a deal because it would be economic suicide if they didn't.

Here he is!!! I've missed you, where have you been??
