  1. Told her husband that i'd made his wife come more times in a night he had in the whole of their marriage. Then when he went to punch me, ironed him out and poured a bottle of beer over his head.
  2. Of course we'd be weaker without our key players, that's why they are key players!!! Every club in the world is the same. You can just have a squad full of stars. Thats why i feel we've got a decent balance. 4 or 5 key players, another 12 or 13 or so who could claim to be first choice but have to fight for it and then squad players who will need to push on but can only really expect to play a bit part.
  3. I think it's about right at the moment. I feel that to have a big enough squad to last a full season then you need 20-24 good players, plenty of options with a few young players on the fringes. When you take into account that Holmes & Connolly have question marks over their fitness, Jaidi may struggle to play twice a week, Puncheon wont play and might not be here and Chamberlain also might not be here and the squad also contains 3 goal keepers i think we are about right. Realistically there are about 16-18 players who could claim to be first choice in their position, although in reality Davis, Fonte, Lambert, Lallana and Chamberlain (if here) are really the only automatic choices, the rest are up for grabs. with the likes of Jonno Quick, Holmes & Seabourne who are squad players. I think in terms of competition for places we are in a pretty good position.
  4. But a few weeks ago you and others were saying he is so much better than Walcott, partly due to his great decision making. Which one is it??
  5. A child? He is big enough to come out and mug you off in the press he's big enough to deal with the consequences. He knew what he was doing, dont delude yourself. He said all the right things, SFC is a great club, the fans are great but now it's time, i'm good enough etc etc. That was a well thought out, manipulative statement.
  6. Some people seem to think it's acceptable for a player to come out to the press and say he wants to leave. Some people are making excuses that he's been badly advised, been pushed into it by his dad, his agent etc. Everyone is going on about what a lovely, intellegent, level headed lad he is. Dont fool yourself, he knew what he was doing. He knew he was risking upsetting the club, management and fans. It is not on for any player to mug off the club and fans that pay their wages like that, regardless of their age. I wont boo him, i dont boo our own players, it's pathetic. But f*ck Alex Chamberlain, f*ck Mark Chamberlain. He obviously wants to leave so f*ck him. SFC is bigger than one player, lets go and get players that do want to be here. If he wants to go let him and his ego f*ck off and try and make it where so many others have failed. I know some of you think singing his name and cheering him will change his mind. He'll stand there and think "they love me here, sod it, i'll stay" No amount of clapping or singing his name if going to make him stay. He obviously thinks he is too good for us now. I for one dont want anyone at this club that thinks that way.
  7. not really, the tickets with some removed are for direct debit payers, who will recieve 8 then the rest when they have paid up the full amount by November. If they had just issued them i full like they used to no need for labels or arsing about. Fan wants season ticket, fan gets season ticket, simple.
  8. Sh*t. Congratulations though mate.
  9. What an absolute shambles. It seems that the paranoia that a couple of people might default on their direct debits has caused this mess. Dear oh Dear.
  10. very good revolution, very good. I would hope to win this poll each week, as it seems the most respected posters on here have a blind faith, belief, optimism call it what you will. Anyone with any ounce of realism is shouted down as being negative. I would consider it a badge of honour to be considered by most of our forum superstars the biggest Div on here.
  11. If anyone thinks a polite round of applause and singing his name a little bit in a half empty stadium during a preseason game is going to make him turn down the chance of trebbling his wages and premier league and champions league football then you are bigger divs than i though.
  12. Was that the game when Spurs gave Young Boys a spanking?
  13. Was that the game when Spurs came from behind against Young Boys?
  14. If you wish to assume this, then be my guest. It helps that said sh*tter is also very good looking
  15. could he be the new Alledine Yahia??
  16. I take it you didn't read this part of my last post then; "For the sake of SFC he'd be best off selling AOC to the higest bidder, the best deal for Saints, not the best club for AOC, he has pinned his colours to the mast so f*ck him and all the stuff about selling him to the right club for him that was spouted in January."
  17. THe work toilet after a certain bloke from marketing has taken a sh*t. The worst one is the sewage works on Thomas Lewis Way.
  18. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
  19. You need to increase your beer intake mate. If you up this so you drink so much you puke all the next morning then you'll be able to eat and drink what you want within reason.
  20. Seriously? When you have Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham competing for 3rd and 4th do you really think a club such as Saints will get there? Tottenham cant keep hold of Modric, Arsenal cant keep hold of Fabregas & Nasri, Man U couldn't keep hold of Ronaldo. Players are always looking for the bigger, better deal. Just look at Villa, a club bigger than Saints cant keep hold of Downing, Young, Barry and Milner. Newcastle couldn't keep Andy Carroll. What we need to do is make sure we milk as much money as possible for their transfers and have a great youth set up and scouting network that means when these players do move on we have good other players lined up to replace them. The same way as the likes of Lyon do in France. NC's stance against not being bullied by the big boys is admirable, but it's one mans crusade to change an entire sport, it's a battle he cant win. For the sake of SFC he'd be best off selling AOC to the higest bidder, the best deal for Saints, not the best club for AOC, he has pinned his colours to the mast so f*ck him and all the stuff about selling him to the right club for him that was spouted in January. And FWIW i agree with you about the press and i agree that for AOC as a footballer he'd be best off playing first team football for us next season. But that is football in 2011, money rules. Some of you lot need to stop dreaming and realise that.
  21. Interesting quote from Chamberlain, he appears to agree with my analogy... "It's the same with anyone in any line of work. If you can better yourself, it's silly not to want to move on and do it." You go back to your little comfort blanket (well put Jackonory) that all newspaper reporters are liars.
  22. Spot on Squid. People might want to bury their heads in the sand but any young English player that shows a glimpse of promise is off to a top half premier league club quicker than you can say "the new Jermaine Pennant". That is modern football i am afraid. Maybe now all those on here dreaming of playing the champions league with a team of academy graduates will wake up.
  23. No, no the articles are wrong aren't they, MLG and so on say so.
  24. plenty of direct quoteds on here saying he wants off. I know some of you will try to spin it that he is really saying he wants to play for us in the champions league though. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3703856/Southamptons-Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain-has-stated-his-desire-to-join-a-top-four-club-like-Arsenal.html
  25. especially if there an no XXXXLs in stock.
