What a load of nonsense, do you really believe that Seabourne wouldn't be the best centre half in the conference? Players find their level, look at Gary Mcsheffery, superb for Birmingham in their promotion season but not quite up to it in the PL, same can be said for Rob Earnshaw, top Championship player in his day, but not quite up to it for the PL. DOesn't make either of them bad players, just not top players. Personally i dont get why we signed Seaborne ahead of Elliot Ward either but CB's dont reach their peak until 25+ he will get better, but not enough IMO to play at any higher level than the one he is at.

"1-0 (whatever the score is) in your cup final" Mancs sing it everytime they are winning at a smaller club, whatever league it's in.
-
With the current personel Schiederlin could play the holding role with Hammond and Lallana in the middle and Puncheon and Dickson out wide. Although ideally would like another attacking CM as felt Lallana and Puncheon switched well last season and always the option to go 4-4-2 if need be with Barnard and Connolly on the bench. The players we have are suited to this system better and no need for a big lump up front, although obviously RL will be first choice, Barnard could also do the job up front if need be.
-
I think 4-4-2 is a dated formation and the top clubs seem to be moving with the time and adapting. Personally i think we would be better off 'doing a Chelsea' and going 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 when attacking.
-
yep, i agree, a few probably quite enjoyed that.
-
I am pretty sure Lambert would have scored a couple today from some of those crosses, but he wasn't and we didn't. No way were Barnard and Connolly going to win anything in the air again their centre halves today.

I have to agree with you there Duney.
-
oh you'll be slated for this by some mate. How dare you be positive with a glass 4/5ths full mentality. Cant you see we have plenty to moan about with no installment plan and a midfield 'crisis'
-
Where have you got to go? I usually Park at Richmond, £13 for the day, although a colleague on mine drives into Hammersmith where it's a quid an hour he says. Traffic can be sh*t on the way out though if after 4ish.
-
A day travel card cost me just under £40 from Parkway last week, had to be in Old Street for a meeting at 11 so was off peak rates.
-
Not at the Reading game then?
-
will make it all the more sweeter to sing '1-0 in your cup final' etc to them, i really hope we sing this tuesday, love it when Man Utd fans sing to when they are beating teams.

The problem with America is it's full of Americans.
-
what do you think could be done to improve the standard of food and beer at half time? Do you feel having to queue for 10 minutes for a half time pint ruins the day for many fans? Whats his view on the installment plan scandal?
-
Exactly, he looked very, very good there. Oh no, we need to sign two no wide players and ignore the centre of midfield. Classic TSF, a lot sont care who we sign, as long as it is someone.
-
Logically it isn't. they are totally diferent players. Carter is a CM Antinio is a winger.
-
well he says the betfair article confirms his fears. That we dont start well, Pardew cant handle the pressure and the league is hotly contested. All assumptions of course.
-
100% agree with you comment about the ability, players like Lallana, Puncheon, Connolly and Schniderlin are built to play that way. Like you say though, horses for courses.
-
good article that, accurate too. Interesting comment If you look at it on paper, they have the strongest squad by quite some distance," Martin told me, doesn't Martin know about our crisis or that we dont have 4 good players for every position.
-
The fact remains that both the echo and Pardew say he deicide his future not us. he didn't want us, however you try to manipulate assumptions. Mine are based on facts and quotes, yours are based on speculation that we might have offered him a deal, which might have been less than he wanted.
-
yes you said it was fair, which to be fair it is, however i notice you didn't say the telegraph article, which is also fair and accurate, puts your mind at rest about your fears, which is could do, that it give you hope which is bizarrely wrong according to you. Of course if you were that way inclined it might just put your mind at rest about this apparant 'crisis' you think we are having. comfirms a helluva a lot about the way you post.
-
I had a feeling it might. I notice you haven't yet commented on the Telegraph aticle which gives the other side of the coin saying how it eliviates some of your fears.

That ring is a bit gay.
