  1. but what about our fans? If one in two that were at Wembley turn up then should be 26k home fans, i think it is more than reasonable to expect a minimum of 50% of what we took to Wembley be attending matches regularly at home. So why is our average home attendance only 21k?

    Papa Waigo

i like the guy, think he's a decent player but also a right character and seems to really enjoy playing football and enjoy playing for us, you cant ask for anymore really.
  3. or will have people visiting them so could bring them along to the game, that is what i would do anyway. And the majority of people wont be working, with work commitments cited as one of the top three reasons why people dont attend games.
  4. be that as it may, over half the fans there wont have travelled from all of the world. If you are generous maybe 1000 came from outside of England with lets say another 5000 from outside of the 50 mile radius of Southampton, so that leaves 45,000 fans who were at Wembley from within an hours drive of Southampton. then there are all the fans that wanted a ticket but couldn't get one.
  5. i'd expect that anyway, if only one in two of the fans that went to Wembley on sunday attended that is still almost 26k home fans with probably around 1500 Orient fans meaning we should expect a minimum attendance of at least a 27.5k.
  6. thats what i thought, considering its a bank holiday, trophy paraded round the pitch and estimates of 51k great fans who had such an amazing day out at wembley on sunday, i'd have though selling 30k or so tickets for a home league match would be no problem.
  7. Anyone know how ticket sales are going for this one? I'd have thought it'd be a decent turn out with the feel good factor from sunday.
  8. We really miss Hammond when he doesn't play, just like Schniderlin, i think he is one of those players that you dont notice until he isn't there. I really rate him, think he is a good leader and a very good and under rated player.
  9. Our first 11 is better than anyone at this level and probably half the teams above, if we can keep Antonio, Waigo and Connolloy, i think all we need is decent cover in the centre of midfield and a permemant solution to right back, if thats Otsemebor all well and good then we have got a squad to win the league next season.
  10. Lallana said in yesterdays paper he would definitely be here next season, good news. Agree with everything, apart from Jaidi, i think he is good for another year at this level.
  11. Come on Wagon, we all know you want sit next to me spending the journey blowing up balloons and discussing tactics and what songs we are going to sing. I'll even put some face paints on you if you are make me laugh more than twice
  12. i got soul but i'm not a soilder.....
  13. as jesus once said, turn the other cheek......
  14. So jokes about ginger people are funny are they? Jokes about Scottish people are funny are they? They may not be a race as in a different colour skin to but they are a proud nation who suffered years of oppression and tyreny at the hands of the English in a bygone era. People crack numerous jokes at the expense of ginger people so therefore that is some form of dislike. I think mocking them by walking round wearing kilts and wigs is at best distateful, bearing in mind what happened back in the 15th century when nobles were allowed first night rites with any newly wed Scot. Not quite so funny calling them sweaties now is it?
  15. I agree, but we do need to stamp out the undercurrent of racism and xenaphobia which is prevelant in this society. Anyway, i digress, what are you plans for tomorrow? How are you going to dress your carriage?
  16. if you haven't booked a cab already i suggest the bus, if you wait until the morning you've got no chance.
  17. Self parady is fine, i mean black people call each other the N word, but when white people say it then it is, quite rightly, not acceptable. If i was Scottish i would be none to pleased to see 10,000 English football fans walking round in ginger wigs and kilts. In the same way that if we had an asian manager it wouldn't be acceptable for 10,000 fans to wear turbans in the name of fun.
  18. But i saw some people in kilts and tartan caps, i never saw WGS wearing those, bit racist i thought, but dressed up in the name of fun.
  19. Those ginger wigs were a bit racist in my opinon. Bit of a slate on the scottish saying they are all ginger, i mean, we wouldn't put black boot polish on our face if Paul ince was our manager would we...
  20. It'll add to the fun, hope the train drivers are Skates, Londoners or northerners and when they see us all in our facepaints, wigs and balloons looking like a cross between coco the clown and William Wallace they will go back to their home towns and say what a great bunch of fans those saints lot are.
  21. how about a bit of friendly competion between us all tomorrow? How about a bit of comeptition on the trains and so on. Maybe a few awards on monday for the following.... Best fancy dress Best decorated carriage on the way up, you know balloons, flags etc, i see a few are already planning on filling their carraige with balloons so they might have stolen a march on this award -lol!!! Loudest carriage Best face paints Funniest comedy t-shirt- i'm sure a few groups will have got those done. I think this'll really get the atmosphere going from the minute we get on the train. Mabe a poll on monday with the results?
  22. "Originally Posted by Thedelldays as for craig david..I was a year above him at school and he was a big saints fan then... Still doesn't change the fact that I heard him say he was a Chelsea fan. Theakston said 'I thought you were from Southampton' to which CD replied 'Yeah, that's my home town, but I follow Chelsea'. Obviously a glory seeking ****! " I remember him claiming to be a saints fan when he first became known, then all of a sudden i started reading he was a Chelsea fan, then before the cup final he was interviewed as one of our famous fans, and then a few months lateer read he was a Cheslea fan again. Is probably really a saints fan but guess he claims to be Chelsea as he probably thinks its better for his image. Talking of which i am sure Fiona Phillips is supposed to be a Saints fan but was on telly a few weeks ago saying she too was a Chelsea fan.
  23. He did, but he's Still a knob though isn't he.
  24. you will be fine. Dont panic.
  25. Indeed, its only after disaster can we be resurected New Order are a fitting tribute to the late Ian Curtis. Have you seen Control? The story of curtis's life. Its only really after watching control that i understood the deeper termoil in his fragile mental state and the true meaning of the lyrics to Love Will tear us apart. It is engraved on his gravestone and it is about his wife deborah curtis. in which he had a hard time being faithful and really just had a hard time dealing with life and sort of a chaotic mental exsistance. very poetic ..and I believe it to be possibly early signs of his increasingly suicidal mentality.
