  1. We have to sell players now with the premier league money. Those sales would only plug the gap, be replaced with far inferior players whilst we desperately scramble to survive before the loan repayments start. It’s laughable that you’re trying to start an argument about this when previously when it’s been said some would prefer to be in the championship you stated it would be a disaster for the club to financially. It would be.
  2. We will be like Derby. We are screwed financially even with premier league money, with a massive loan looming. Soon as we go down we'll be screwed.
  3. And there we have it. Anyone who doesn't agree with it is dismissed as a gammon, anyone who doesnt agree with it must have issues. And you agree then, you've never heard booing for any other anti racism campaign. You claim no one will become a racist due to taking the knee, but also claim it's working, it's making a positive impact, it's not divisive and ignore all the evidence to the contrary. As usual, you're all over the place and doing exactly what has been said, dismissing anyone who doesn't support it.
  4. The survey was November last year, 6 months after George Floyd died. Proof that the BLM movement, which was plastered all over our TV screens before and during every football match for months, has had the reverse impact that they claim they wanted. We all know there is a link, glad you're finally admitting it. Have you ever heard booing of an anti racism message at football before the knee?
  5. Oh of course, black lives matter was NOTHING to do with taking the knee in the premier league
  6. Not that difficult to find some views on this even this forums favourite source of news reported it Black Lives Matter has increased racial tension, 55% say in UK poll | Black Lives Matter movement | The Guardian It's pretty clear it has increased racial tension. In 35 years following football i've never heard an anti racism gesture booed before, that alone should get people asking why this is the case. Instead of that all we get is accusations of racism if you dont agree with it. As for your other two points again it goes back to awareness, this is all people are clinging too. Taking the knee raises awareness. Yes it does but it certainly appears that it's raising the wrong sort of awareness, it's divisive and increasing tension so having the reverse impact of the intention.
  7. It's funny how every time anyone pro taking the knee gets asked to back up why they think it's having a positive impact they respond with two things, it's raising awareness, like no one knew racism existed before. Or the Soggy take which is to get all preachy and start banging on about it if you're not for it you're racist, why would anyone be against something that is anti racism. None of them can actually point to any examples of a positive impact. Plenty of examples of how it's increased racial tension and created division though in a way no other anti racism campaign at football has.
  8. CB Fry has covered the Danny Rohl impact very well below, much like how Eric Black was to blame for everything that went wrong under Puel, Pellegrino and Hughes. As for being stuck in the 70s and not recognising innovation it's almost like the idea of an assistant manager/number 2/co manager call them what you will has been about as long as false nines, automations and HGs. Maybe you should ask a certain Lawrie McMenemy what his original role was when he joined Saints in 1973. Or perhaps we should ask Ted Bates, Lew Chatterley and Tony Barton what they playing at stealing a living from the club in the 70 and 80s. An assistant manger/number 2 is football innovation anyone who doesn't recognise that is stuck in the 70s
  9. Interestingly since the new feature has been available and certain people have been exposed as full of shit they haven’t posted on here since despite visiting the forum. I wonder why.
  10. How can this be? I thought we were told told it was “definitely making a positive impact”. Yet the players, who we were assured are absolutely behind it and not told to do it, don’t seem to think it’s doing anything.
  11. That’s exactly what the issue is. spot on. Even the biggest cheerleaders like aintclever only really champion it’s success by clinging onto the claim it raises awareness. Almost like no one knew racism exists without it
  12. Once again you spectacularly fail to grasp the point. You’re funny.
  13. All we need now is Soggy and the whole gang is here
  14. I’m glad they’re taking the knee. I’d never even heard of racism until last year. It’s great they’re doing this to make us all aware and so we can discuss it.
  15. but apparently taking the knee is definitely having a positive impact.
  16. that surely is one of the major negatives.
  17. So still banging the "it raises awareness" drum then, brilliant. All it's done is tell us something we know exists, exists.
  18. What has been the positive impact?
  19. Isn't labelling all Hungarians as racist, well, racist?
  20. Definitely what?
  21. You must have a view. Dont try this raising awareness nonsense you've tried before, everyone knew racism existed before all this taking the knee stuff. The simple question is do you think taking the knee has had a positive impact or not?
  22. Bring back Danny Rohl as well, it was all amazing when he was here.
  23. Obviously. This place is a thing of beauty the day after a racism incident
  24. Yet you missed off the second point which means you didn't get what Lighthouse was saying. Which is unsurprising. Are they helping to tackle/reduce/fight/end racism, bearing in mind that is their stated aim? Also no.
