  1. any chance of bullet points?
  2. You're all wrong the self titled greatest league in the world is the a glorious celebration of everything that is wonderful about soccerball. We have the chance to see some of the worlds greatest soccerballists playing at our little club whilst at the same time have access to 24 hour 7 days a week information at our finger tips, regular "breaking news" about what Pep is saying, what Ten Haag thought of sundays enthralling nil all tie along with fascinating tactical and statistical analysis of every game, every player ever move before we even mention the excitement VAR has added to the game as we nervously wait for 5 minutes to see if a player is 2mm offside and the goal will stand or not. Together with the the endless opportunities to virtue signal and constantly improving selection of foodstuffs in the concourses i would say there has never been a better time to be part of the English Premier Soccerball league.
  3. Injured again FFS
  4. Skinny jeans is so 2023 pal, it’s baggy now with Adidas Sambas for the hipster look
  5. You even get it at kids football. Last week we played away against a Leeds team and they had the goalkeeper taking goal kicks to one of two players inside the penalty area like you see premier clubs do FFS. We absolutely thrashed them of course. So far this season they've played 4 games scored 3 and conceded 46. The worst thing is they aren't bad players and could be a better team but It was absolutely ridiculous to watch as another coach. Trying to get 11 year old grass roots kids to play like Man City is absurd when most of them haven't even got ball mastery yet. Everytime the tried it they got pressed and either lost it, misplaced the pass or kicked it out for a throw in.
  6. when you're manager of one of the worlds biggest clubs with some of the worlds best players who are winning major trophies every season with most players in the world desperate to take you place at said club then you can do that. Martin isn't and doesn't have that luxury, he's never even beat a top flight team over 90 minutes has he?
  7. I dont think anyone particularly dislikes him, we all want him to do well. Most people seem to agree that it's a bit strange the manager seemed to find a way of playing him no matter what last season in some very strange positions too. It also doesn't help that his introduction to the team in 2017 came off the back of Van Dijk being injured and Fonte leaving which really highlighted the gap in quality between a very good defender and a bottom half one.
  8. it was, i heard that too
  9. lol, what a night. 1995 IIRC. Hilarious seeing the mighty 657 bouncing up and down hiding behind the police from the DEF then knocking down walls and attacking the police as they desperately tried to get away once they heard the gates were opening and we were being let out. Funny how they tried to spin it that they were trying to get to us when everyone saw them running in the opposite direction 🤣
  10. The simple fact is this. Despite being chased by AC Milan and being a dream maker who turned a near bankrupt league one football club into a champions league ready Premier league power all through sheer ambition and business brilliance 11 years after leaving he's never worked in football again. Why is that? You'd think club all over the world would be knocking his door down.
  11. what a joker, praising the team for doing okay when the game was already lost
  12. i think you'll find most of Aston Villas fan base is in our catchment area.
  13. I think you’ll find some people will care. Some people have been incandescent with rage over politicians private lives so itll be very interesting if they apply similar standards should any news like the above break. 👀👀👀👀👀
  14. I guess they can’t do it on a Wednesday night in Stoke
  15. 😂
  16. Perhaps that explains the issues, given the intensity of the premier league he's knackered by the 20th minute due to the lack of protein so cant coach the team properly. Would explain our good starts with subsequent 3 goal collapses against Man United, Bournemouth and Brentford recently plus the late goal v Ipswich.
  17. Depends what oil they're cooked in.
  18. top flight experience, winner, can organise a defence, attacks with purpose. Get it in the mixer!!
  19. Remember when Les Reed thought we were going to get Thomas Tuchel
  20. Nearly £50m spent on those 4 and probably £150k+ a week in wages and not one decent one between them. Add in Onachau and you’ve got nearly £70m and c£200k a week. we spend money we just do it very badly on quantity not quality. Utter shambles really. We’ve done the same in the past with centre backs and goalkeepers. We never learn
  21. yep that's the one, first visit to their new ground. Really good day on the beers with the lads but we were absolutely dreadful, defending was shambolic. Forgot about that with Yoshida but that is true, that did actually happen 🤣
  22. Who else is buzzing for this one? Great game of premier league soccerball against the Gunners of London. What an opportunity to play this great side in the amazing Ashburton stadium one of the Europes finest stadiums, where i understand the refreshments are champions league level. last time we played there after re-promotion we got served up 6-1, pretty sure it was 5-1 at half time. I spent the second half down stairs in the bar with the DEF, part of me sadistically not wanting to leave early in case we saw a record defeat. Maybe we will see a premier league record set on saturday, which would be an honour to hold another record in the worlds finest soccerball league.
  23. i havent voted yet, nor made up my mind In his favour he has good hair and beard, he dresses well he the most handsome manager we've had since Poch Going against him are results, style of play, performance of the team and the inevitability of relegation if he stays
  24. He'll grow out of it. Mine went through a similar stage about the same age. We live in a Leeds area and have a local league 2 side. When he got into football and all his mates support Leeds, Man City, Man United or Liverpool he started to ask if he could support another team. I went down the anyone but Liverpool line with him but within a few months he was a full on saints fan again. He's 11 now, knows what we are but doesn't care. One of the best times was when he turned up to his first training session with a new team he joined in about March time in full saints kit. All the other kids had Real Madrid, PSG, Leeds, Liverpool or Man U shirts on and a few he didn't know immediately took the piss. He spent the next hour running rings round them, it was a joy to watch and shut them all up.
  25. We are still in the famous 10 game adapting to the premier league phase so with 4 games to go we are one point ahead of schedule.
