Was the Oldham game the one where there was a sit in after the match on the Milton? I remember it starting well with about 1,000 or so there, after about 2 minutes the stewards saying for everyone to get out and duly everyone obliged and cleared off, one of the worst protests I've ever seen

I was trying to remember what game I was at when there was a really low crowd against a northern team in a night game and it was that Scarborough one, didn't we beat them 1-0 with MLT scoring the winner? I thought the crowd was about 6-7,000 though?

I suppose it'll depend on the position what they look for wont it. For the positions requiring pace and power they'll look for athletic black kids and team them how to play football. For the positions requiring intelligence and skill they'll look for the white kids of can learn quickly.

I don't think we were poor, west ham dropped 11 men behind the ball as soon as we had it and we weren't moving it quickly enough to create space. The first time we did that we scored and then the penny seemed to drop. First half I'd say we were efficient, in control of the game without really threatening too much, second half was a different story, apart from one spell of about 2 minutes we were totally dominant, cutting them open time and again and we really should have had more than 3. We really do look a good side with a decent squad. Redmond is starting to look the real deal and with a bit of work on his shooting and final ball he is going to be a quality addition for us. Romeu is a bit of an unsung star in the side, looks a really good defensive midfielder now and along with the two centre halves gives us a good base. Really looking forward to seeing how Boufal comes I to the side and how much more Redmond develops and with Charlie Austin I the side we carry a real goal threat now. We might not finisher higher than 6th this season but I think we're well placed for an existing season with some good attacking football and a run in the cups.

So the ones losing interest aren't actually Saints fans, they're premier league fans. The ones that are only interested in big name players, TV games, the ones that deserted the club in 2005 when they were needed more than ever. The ones that would rather have gone for a walk in the new Forest or had surprise great aunts 90th birthday parties when we had games against Rochdale, Oldham, gillingham etc. The ones who believed we were on an unstoppable March to the champions league because so midget from Italy told them what they wanted to hear. I've tried to condense the context into a few paragraphs above. In short as I say there is a feeling in football that black players aren't trusted to play the intelligent roles on the pitch, they play the roles of pace and/or power it's white players that provide the intelligence. He gives a list of names of players that play these roles as evidence. It appears we are getting critisised for our development maximising on racial stereotypes inside the game. Is there anything wrong with this? Personally I don't think so. Look at the Olympic 100 metre final, most of them were black, no one is shouting racism then. It's the same in other industries you'd be quite happy to use an Asian accountant but you won't find many doing work on your house, no one shouts racism there either. Horses for courses. Just because a certain type of player is suited to a particular role it doesn't mean it's racist is what seems to be the implication.
