  1. Think I might open my bottle of Chilean red to allow it to breathe............
  2. I've got a nice tin of Amstel to open. Might leave it until Friday.......
  3. I've got a nice bottle of Chilean to crack open, think i'll save it for Wednesday.........
  4. If he just wanted champions league football he could have stayed at Celtic. He's going to get more money and go to a bigger club, simple as that. I'm not particularly disappointed to see him go. On his day he's a class player but those days are few and far between. His little hissy fit at the start of last season, his poor discipline with sendings off and missing 1/4 season suspended means that he won't be as a big a miss as we might think, especially if we get get a decent replacement in. The wanyama we get 5 or 6 times a season will be missed, the one we get for the rest of it wont be.
  5. We had the new Fergie not that long ago FFS
  6. I watch a lot of Australian football and we MUST get Ange Postecoglou from Australia. He's for an amazing job with Brisbane roar and transform the socceroos into a Asian cup champs. He loves bringing youngsters through so would fit with our ethos of youth. He was recently rated the 39th best manager in the world only 2 places behind FDB. He's definitely the Aussie Guardiola. If not him then Tony Popovic of west Sydney wanderers, cup finalists two years running and won the AFC championship. How many other managers have won a new franchise team their national league so quickly? Even that flawed great Shinji Ono says Pop is the best coach he's ever had crediting him with rebuilding his career. We MUST get him, hes the Aussie Jose Mourinho.
  7. Is the mystery man someone other than those mentioned? Quite simply Id one of the names monitoned gets the job then those who mentioned him can claim to be ITK but if it's someone else the he is the mystery man, I a kind of who shot Phil Mitchell type way to use a simile it was a bit like on blaze and the monster machines when everyone thought a mystery bandit was nicking all the sutiff but turns out there was no mystery bandit just another monster machine with a magnet
  8. Mongboards are unforgiving places pal, post at your peril.
  9. I'm surprised, I thought you'd be expecting a Steve Wigley level manager like you did last time.
  10. Well I think most people would have. If we'd have got David Moyes in when he was still at Everton it'd have been lauded as a great coup. As it is his time at Man United has unfairly made him a bit of a laughing stock in many peoples eyes. Despite the snobbery about him on here he's still a good manager with a proven track record in the Premier league, worked well on a budget and brought through youth as well as signed good young british players. In many ways a good fit for us for the clubs stated aim of a stable, self sustaining top 10 club. As for Jemez, the sole reason people want him seems to be the belief that he is the new Pochetino. If he was an English guy then the same snobbery applied to Moyes would apply to him. Personally I think it would be a huge risk, we're able to pay good money to a manager, we've got a good squad, European football and are an established top 10 club. I don't think it's a risk worth taking. Before anyone books marks this post to use against me in three years time, I'm not saying it wont work out, I simply think in our current position we could attract someone with a bit more calibre rather than gambling, which is what Jemez would be.
  11. I'd rather we hired a manager with a record of managing decent sized clubs, international players, having a reasonable budget and being relatively successful thank all the same pal.
  12. Can you imagine if there was an English manager, let's call him Paul James. Paul was manager of a small English club who had been in the premier league for a few seasons. Paul joined then when they were 8th. After three seasons of steady decline, they were eventually relegated after having only fortunately stayed up on the last day of the previous season. They had the worst defensive record in the division and were renowned for heavy defeats including a 10-2 away at Man United. Paul James is linked with the saints job. Would people are excited about it because despite his horrendous record of taking a club from 8th to 18th and getting hammered every other week along the way a few people seem to think he plays exciting football. Or would people think we'd be absolutely nuts to employ him and tell anyone that will listen it's a lack of ambition? People seem to want this guy based on hoping he's the new Pochetino. ?

Lots of videos on twitter now of mobs of Russians running the streets indiscriminately attacking England fans. Many videos of 6 or 7 of them laying into lone English fans then kicking them whilst on the laying defenceless on the floor. Reports of innocent fans being beaten and mugged. Videos and Reports of Russians and French attacking bars then the police standing by and let it happen before firing tear gas. A video of French police beating England fans with truncheons as they lay on the floor. Yet of course self righteous *****s on here and other social media continue to spout their ****e that its easy just to walk away, its England fans fault.

But they could have avoided it if they wanted to, they are a disgrace, thick and an embarrassment, utter scum.

Funny how no one has mentioned the 10 Russians attacking one loan England fan, or how the French bar owner interviewed on the telly where the trouble was the first night said England fans we're blameless and came under attack from local Marseille fans. No let's all jump on the bandwagon and blame the England fans because they're all thick and embarass our country, its absolutely nothing to do with anyone else.
  17. I believe we wanted him too but went to Spartak Moscow. Out of work and would be a good fit. Other names not been monitoned but would be a good fit for us are Eduardo Berizzo although his comments on homosexuals will upset some on here Shame we missed out on lucien Favre just taken the Nice job would have been good.
  18. Murat Yakin is that man.
  19. And therefore guaranteed to improve?
  20. Lost my dad to this and he was a season ticket holder until he wasn't able to go any more.
  21. Someone that prowls up and down the touchline all game screaming and showing that all important quality of PASSION Someone that will encourage the board to spend Millions and millions even if we dont have it so we can show everyone we have AMBITION Someone that will never ever leave, that none of the big clubs will be linked with and will be GRATEFUL to be manager of a club like Southampton and thank us weekly.
  22. Be delighted with De Boer or Villas Boas.
  23. Totally agree. He's a big boy, no one is holding a gun to his head. I'm sure if he wanted to stay he's brave enough to tell someone he's worked with for only 4 weeks where to stick it. Let's be blunt, joining the dots it doesn't look good for him. Promising all along he's see his contract out, knocking Everton back, getting an offer from saints and though and behold Everton come back with a much better offer only a few days later. Plus the changing of agent only a few weeks ago. Why did he do that if he was happy to see his contract out? Unfortunately it looks like SFC have been played yet again. I don't blame the board Koemans been a slippery, lying helmet and let everyone down. He seemed to be a man of honour but is even worse than Pochetino, at least he didn't pretend he wasn't a decietful *****.
  24. We could do a lot worse than Moyes. However he's definitely the odd one out in that list. The other three are all considered bright, young forward thinking managers and Moyes, well, isn't. Wonder if we'll talk to De Boer and Yakin, two others who would appear to fit the profile of what Reid spouts about.
  25. We've got emery unai emery I just don't think you understand He's les Reads man He's better than Koeman We've got unai Emery Delete and replace name of manager as appropriate
