We need to wait and see what our body language experts make of this before we decided if It was pathetic or not. The ones that were analysing his body language earlier this season and deciding he wasn't interested any more.

Old blokes football - Tuesday night @ Fleming Park, Eastleigh
Turkish replied to saintbletch's topic in General Sports
How does a mongboard football match go? Do you all have your login names on the back of your shirts? Do you have a load of nerds sitting on the sideline posting on papweb on a match day thread? I bet the post match "cheeky beer" is a lolathan where not only do you discuss a deep tactical analyisis on tonight's match there is heated discussion about the previous weeks posts across the full spectrum of saints related forums. It's interesting to see sue whistle offer her services to the cause though, I had no idea she played football. -
What's he dicking about doing this for? There is a big game on Saturday which he's clearly not preparing for. More interested in being a celebrity, trying to raise his profile to get a top job than managing us.
-
So I take it you shut up and stopped "the banter" immediately then rather than ironing the toby out?

I Remmeber watching Arsenal beat Portsmouth 5-1 at fratton Park a few years back. the entire stadium was cheering Arsenal on, singing the names all the Arsenal players and giving them a standing ovation when each sub was made and at full time. It seemed that Arsenal fans had taken over fratton park that day but quite a few of them had come disguised as Pompey fans. You can imagine my surprise when post match Arsenal players pointed out they were actually Portsmouth fans as they praised the Portsmouth supporters for the wonderful support they gave them during the match and Pompey fans boasting about amazing it was and how you wouldn't get scummers doing that. To be fair they're right as I can't Remmeber saints fans ever passionately cheering on the opposition whilst their own team were getting dismantled. Aruguably random skates can be found at fratton Park as it seems most of them actually support Arsenal.

Can Saints or West Ham manage to gate crash the top 4 at man Citys expense?
Turkish replied to Saint IQ's topic in The Saints
No real surprise that someone like yourself fails yet again to grasp the point I don't think I or anyone else has ever said we would never make the champions league. What I did say however was that the self titled intelligent posters c2009-12 that would prattle on about how we were on an unstoppable March to the champions league, filling a 50,000 stadium week in week out with a team full of academy graduates who would never want to leave the club were talking bo locks. The self titled intelligent posters would stop at nothing to attempt to prove their point coming up with all manner of scenarios and hypothitical arguments as they gamely fought their corner. However despite all the fairy tales, hopes and completely illogical business arguments, such as spending millions to expand so we could give more tickets to away fans, free to schools or slash them everywhere in the stadium resulting is less income than we have now not one compelling reason as to why this was saints destiny was ever given. It was left to clutching at things like it being possible because they once said man would never walk on the moon or climb Everest and all you need are Dreams and ambition. Saints are pretty much where the dream stampers/trolls/idiots/dell sized mentality posters said we would be, a top 10 club who can challenge for the top 4 now and again if things go right but ultimately have our very best players picked off. Meanwhile the merry group of self titled intelligent posters seem to have disband taking their dreams, ambition and easy jet pricing models with them. -
You of all people should be agreeing with this. On all versions of football manager until recently rearranged fixtures due to European ties were rearranged well in advance.
-
Liverpool winning it would be more nauseating.
-
All this from the bloke who once claimed that the big clubs aren't a step up from Saints. That our academy players wont ever want to leave for bigger clubs and more money as they'll want to be part of the project and play football with their mates. The bloke who also claimed top players will come here over bigger clubs and on less money because Southampton is a nice place to live and they too would want to be part of this project. Funny how when Gary Mabbutt says something it's rose-tinted naivety yet when Les Bender is thumping away at his keyboard saying similar stuff it's entirely possible. Stand by for a "you can see why I've got him on ignore but to answer the idiot" rant along with a "I never said any of that" denial similar to the way Les still denies ripping up his season ticket in protest

What a great little player he was. A terrific striker and such a shame injuries ended his career. He'd Although he'd be bang in trouble if he signed for us these days, took a few games to find his feet, I remember him missing an absolute sitter in one of his early games, I think it may have been away at Derby. If he'd have signed today he'd have been labelled the worst player since Stig Johnsen by then and be ironically cheered every time he beat a player.

Can Saints or West Ham manage to gate crash the top 4 at man Citys expense?
Turkish replied to Saint IQ's topic in The Saints
Where are our resident statisticians when you need them? We need the data on what % likely we are to finish top 4 before we can make an informed decision. it was all the rage last season and anyone who pointed out it was a load of nonsense was rounded upon. So until someone provides this it's impossible to say. -
We won't finish top 4 because you can't expect to sell your best players every summer and progress. We've had a positive nett spend the last two seasons and Koeman doesn't believe in youth. Oh yeah and Claise is shocking, Martina is an embarrassment, Long isn't worth £12m and Les Reed doesn't know what he's doing.
-
When you say "such a c*nt" you mean someone who pointed out what utter sh*t you were spouting yes? Because you seem to start thinking I'm a c*nt as well, right at a similar time when I pointed out you were talking bo locks about Lee. There's a pattern here pal, when you think it everyone else that is the problem maybe it's actually you.

Post-Match Reaction: Swansea City 0-1 SAINTS
Turkish replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
How's that relegation battle going? -
The point everyone keeps missing is prices already had come down for most normal fans. 64% of season ticket prices had been frozen or dropped. The price they were protesting about where a tiny majority of top end tickets and the top end season tickets in the new stand. All they've done is make tickets cheaper for tourists, which are the people they were whinging about taking their seats anyway.
-
This is a great day for the corporate fan. This should be hailed a triumph for all those upper class fans sick of being stereotyped as the prawn sandwich brigade by the traditional working class football snob. Now the richer elements of society can benefit from lower ticket prices along with the working class who had already had their tickets reduced or frozen. No longer are the rich fans being discriminated against for wanting the best seat in the stadium and being FORCED to pay more for it. Well done to everyone involved in the protest for bring the prices of premium tickets down, the rich deserve to have their ticket prices comes down as well. in your face working class football snobs.
-
I want them to bring in a hundred or so premium tickets for big games so we can have a good protest like the scousers but freeze or reduce them elsewhere and never talk about it.
-
Correct I had a look to see what all the fuss was about this morning and it turns out, as usual people are being OUTRAGED over nothing, many of the people protesting will be in fact be better off It's not hard to google pal, a quick ten minutes on the train this morning and found out all the facts. Maybe people should do their research instead of being quick to be OUTRAGED like you are and your spitting bile reply at me for daring to point it out. And I stand by my original point that protesting inside the ground is pointless and the only way prices will come down is by more and more empty seats. Although where the scousers are concerned there may well be empty seats even though most of them will be paying less anyway
-
It's 200 seats for 6 games a season. The ones protesting won't be sitting in those seats anyway. What's the problem with people paying more for a premium seat? I notice no ones mentioned the £9 kids ticket with 20,000 tickets given as priority to locals or the plans to give away tickets to schools as a reward for good behaviour. Or how 64% of season tickets have been frozen or reduced or how 45% of match day tickets will be reduced. Oh no, let's all be OUTRAGED that Less than 1% of the capacity will have to pay a bit more 6 times a season and none of those people protesting will be sitting in those areas anyway. It's not like the scousers to ignore facts and have a whinge is it
-
A protest inside a football stadium about ticket prices when you've already paid the price to watch the ticket is laughable. The only way prices will come down is if people stop going. Protest outside the ground, don't go but protesting about something you are clearly already paying for is a joke. Would people book a train to London get on the train and get off at Woking to protest against train prices? Would people book a hotel room and leave it at 4 in the morning to protest against the price of hotel rooms? If you're not happy with the price then don't pay it and don't go, it ain't hard. When enough people start doing it then and only then will they take notice.

Fantastic display from the defensive players in the side. Although it was nervy in truth we defended brilliantly and they never really looked like scoring. Claise is looking the player we hoped he'd be, pressing and hassling and don't remember him giving the ball away. Romeu also looked quality when he came on and is looking a really good player now. Wanyama was unlucky to be sent off, it was silly diving in like he did but a harsh red but clattenburg loves sending him off so no surprise when he took the opportunity to do that. Defensively we're looking the real deal. The only downside tonight was that Pelle struggled and was poor, maybe he is lacking sharpness due to being out for a while but with the way we sent up to play today he really didn't do the job he was picked for and looked like a player bang out of form. He's a good player so will get back to form but I'd be tempted to start with Austin and Long next week.

What on earth are on about now? Ciry have won the league two of the last four seasons, the other teams were Chelsea who also can buy pretty much anyone they want as well and Man United, the biggest club in England who were managed by probably the best manager of all time in his final season, who guess what? Also have bucket loads of cash either. They've not been outside of the top 3 since 2011. Yet according to you they are "a disgrace" because they haven't steamrollered their way to the title every season ahead of other massive teams who have also spent sh*t loads of cash. I'm sure fans of most clubs would be delighted to win the league 50% of the time and never finish below third yet in Adrian's world that level of performance is "a disgrace"
-
League one level performance yet again.
