With him and Clyne there is a decent chance they know or will do quite soon where they are most likely to be next season. If we are still competing with the likes of Utd or Arsenal in the latter few weeks of the season then they will have two teams they hope are top 4 finishers. Would need to be tough mentally to block it out.

Hope our fans support our players. Give Lallana and Lovren a bit of stick, but remember how much we need the points. Atmosphere has been ****e of late so hopefully better tomorrow.

Saw Chaplow's Uncle the other day. Apparently he has fallen out favour with Holloway after they had a bust up about Chappers being forced to wear a mouthguard in training. They reckon he will need a complete set of false teeth by the age of 43 if he keeps biting at the current ratio.

Even some commentary of famous Saints goals through the years would be good. The last 5mins up up to kick off there is barely a mention of Saints or even football. The #wemarchon video is good, but played too early so loses any impact. Quite a few ground where they have a signature song it is still playing literally up to kick off, like at Everton.

Djuricic (unsuprisingly) looked the best player on the pitch in the 30mins I saw. Gallagher still a little off the pace after return from injury, and nowhere near first team reckoning yet. Would be great to win this competition.

I think the last song before the team comes out should be a lot better thought out and even some good videos might make a difference. Not up to the club to create atmosphere but compared to some grounds the current attempts are feeble.

Are there any PL Clubs that do a worse job of getting fans up for the game, or select worse music, than Saints do?

Not Pelle's fault he is the only striker. Was a no brainer to sign another in January and we didn't so have to hope he gets going again.

Djuricic looked tidy but more of a floating no10 than a winger IMO. In home games where we struggle to break people down I think he or Tadic could play centrally instead of Davis or JWP.

Not going to suddenly make a first team app for a while yet.

Poor in final 25 yards. Not good enough for Champions League on this form. Player in the no 10 position needs to do more attacking wise IMO and we should have kept Mane on and brought Djuricic on for Davis. Still in a good position but Pelle needs to find his goalscoring touch to have any hope of top 4. Would have probably been better if Adrian had never got the red card because they just shut up shop and time wasted after that.

Nice to see this proven right despite some of the dross below. The Balon D'Or perhaps out of reach but African Player of the Year isn't. Mane is class and still very young.

Absolutely class interview that, one of the best of the season. Seems a great guy and is right up there with our best players. Will have a very, very good career I think. He definitely needs a good song.

This. If the MLS ever actually takes off in a big way it will be a sad day for soccer. (Generally speaking. There are some US fans that are more knowledgeable & tolerable).

No issue with the meaning, plenty of teams sing that they are the greatest etc. It was just a ****y chant, the tune, accent etc.

But we also got lucky Swansea away, arguably Utd away and Newcastle with the last min pen appeal, Chelsea home where Targett should have conceded a pen for them to win etc.

Its so tough, IMO we are as likely to finish 7th as 3rd, so tight. Basically leaves no margin for error, one form slump and you are pretty much out of the race, but the same applies to the other teams too. Every game is massive, especially the ones at home to Liverpool and Spurs, where depending on the state of the table at the time, the result will have a major influence. Both those teams have Europa League, but I think Spurs especially will deprioritise that. If we end up outside the European slots people will rightly be disappointed having been up there for so long, but whatever happens its been a great season.

They would earn more elsewhere though and would think they were more likely to qualify for the CL repeatedly at other clubs. I get what you mean, but if players like Morgan have decided they will go, I don't think our position would change it too much. It might help keep someone like Toby or Wanyama though.

Thoughts any different now? Cork gone and Clyne's agent would be silly now if he advises him to sign with us rather than waiting to see in the summer. See Koeman said today (see Peach Twitter) we will lose one or two in the summer. IMO good he has his eyes open, unlike Reed at the start of last summer. Most fans know Clyne and Morgan will go, and if its just those two (maybe JR too) then we can still build IMO.
