Agree with that. Fully expected Shaw to go for most of this season. Lallana would be gutting though, and fan expectations need to be aligned to what happens off field. Its very possible, that we will start next season with a weaker starting XI than we started this season. This season has been great, we play good football in a style that is good to watch. If we keep Poch then it can be ok. If we lost him and a few key players I would worry about next season.

And the replacements. You know you won't bring in better players but they need to be good enough. Worry with Lallana is that Jay Rod unlikely to feature a lot before Christmas so attack could be severely depleated. In this league you get found out quickly and brutally.

With Ramirez and Osvaldo we could end up bringing in nearly 100m in the summer. Wouldnt be overly suprised if Clyne went too. He can't be happy about being second choice and could improve a few pretty good sides. Lallana would be the worst to lose, totally irreplaceable and would be hard to watch him playing for someone else. Shaw we all knew would leave pretty soon and Morgan you can't begrudge him wanting to further his Intl ambitions. He has been a top signing for us.

Roberts is better than Isgrove ever will be. Was excellent for Huddersfield a few years back and would be available cheaply which will be a consideration for the board. Who are your suggestions?

Seeing as he has never played in a top league you can't say that. 10m on Ings is a massive gamble. Has shown nothing to hint at being worth that. You have to be careful with Championship goals. There is a reason why Jay Rod is in Eng squads and Jay Bothroyd is playing Thailand, despite the latter scoring a lot of goals in the second tier. Sharp, Austin, Ings, Vokes all good players that that level but huge step up. Look at Rhodes. Scores for fun but doesnt even get in the Scotland starting lineup and goal desperate Prem teams have overlooked him for 3 years because they obviously think he is lacking in the all round game needed for the PL. Would you also pay 10m for Le Fondre? He is more Prem proven than Ings but of course you wouldn't.
