Such a shame for Jay first and foremost but also a huge blow for us at the start of next season. If we don't replace him it will cost us big time.

Telegraph says he is believed to be Spurs no1 target. Saints seems fairly relaxed about it, but surely we realise the urgent need to get him to stay for next season? Would imagine he is the one stalling, fair enough I guess.

Ruudy makes so many mistakes...way more this season than Boruc has. Need a keeper that is more comfortable playing it out from the back.

We had Chris Johns on the bench who has played U21 games before so would imagine it was mostly to get a close look at Smith. Be interesting to see if anything ever comes of it. Goalkeeper is certainly a weak area for us, with neither Cropper nor Gazza really looking anywhere near the first team standard, and KD getting worse all the time. Would expect a couple of additions in that area this summer, one in the first team squad and one in dev squad.

England U18s keeper played for our U21s tonight. Was/still is a Southend player, who knows - could have been on trial I guess. Interesting with Cropper out of contract at end of season anyway.

Lallana is utter class. Its funny it has taken non Saints fans so long to realise.
