  1. Agree, actually thought Shaw also had a weaker match compared to normal. Cork lost the ball dangerously in a couple of bad areas and wasnt as complete a performance as against Liverpool or City.
  2. Biggest difference from a few months ago is confidence. You can tell he thinks he can beat three men and score now - and he has the ability to do that.
  3. Morgan now has 8 bookings. To avoid a ban he must make sure he doesnt reach 10 by end of West Ham game which is when it resets.
  4. Hooiveld was preferred for Liverpool too - just in better form.
  5. Next goal vital in this one.
  6. Hope Lallana is fit.
  7. If AL is out then I would expect Ramirez will definitely start.
  8. Lallana the only one missing from any of the training pics, apart from Ramirez who arrives back tomorrow. Really hope AL is fit, had his best game of the season vs Liverpool.
  9. Actually says he is hopeful he will have a full squad to pick from and will assess those 3 minor knocks. Doesnt sound like they will miss out and Shaw said he was "buzzing for Saturday" on Twitter earlier today.
  10. Until you get injuries suspensions etc - anyone in the squad has a part to play. Fonte, Yoshida and Hooiveld have all started over 15 games each.
  11. Indeed. In acual fact versus Liverpool we played with Ramirez wide right, AL left and Lambert and JR up top but the team is certainly as above if positions not.

  13. Interesting he thinks Sunderland will get a point at home to Man Utd because of United's heavy schedule this weekend and the fact they might rest players. No mention of Chelsea doing the same.
  14. It's not like when he has played he has looked awful, and NA said before he played him vs Sunderland that he had been on fire in training so clearly has potential. As with Ramirez to an extend it will be good to see him after a whole pre season and see if he can have an impact next year.
  15. Or as he said in his interview recently he is waiting to get 100% fot over the summer and then push for a place on pre season. His adjusting period probably has helped him a lot in the long run. Too often we throw people in underprepared and expect them ro be worldbeaters.
  16. Yes, but early planning is never a bad thing, and a lack of it often gets slated so if we are trying to line up some early deals then good. If we had Yoshida, Ramirez, Boruc in by July we would probably have another 4 or 5 points now. Good to see we are maybe learning from mistakes.
  17. Talks back on....and he is tempted: http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gianlucadimarzio.com%2Fcalciomercato%2Fastori-il-napoli-insiste-ma-il-southampton%2F
  18. Southampton have been hit and miss under new Manager Mauricio Pochettino and despite beating a below par Liverpool last time out they are firmly in the relegation battle. Goals are not a problem, but Liverpool could have scored four or five last week, underlining the defensive frailties. I still can't understand why they got rid of Nigel Adkins, you have to worry about the impatient foreign owners at St Mary's. Chelsea face a tough trip to old Trafford on Monday but will want to secure third place and even if they rest their top performers like Mata and Ba they should still win this comfortably. 0-2
  19. Worst thing will be if Shaw goes to the U20 World Cup this summer. He clearly struggles a bit with niggles etc, summer off would be best for him.
  20. Mostly our current team is better IMO but no way Boruc better than Niemi - he was genuinely in the top 3 keepers in the league.
  21. The most likely is Billy Sharp, Davies doesnt rate him at Forest and we know Adkins does.
  22. I was just repeating what Simon Peach said.
  23. Hard to say but they don't have the raw materials we did.
  24. He was clearly good. As I posted on another thread someone who clearly would know (is on the training ground everyday) said that the players liked NA, he was good, popular on the training ground, good sessions, impressive man. Since MP came in however the players and staff have seen he is just better, allround better in each aspect. No shame for NA in that. As an aside the person said a lot of mentality work is done now, be brave to play, manage games better tactically etc.
