Saints vs Saints (St Gallen) tonight
Saint Charlie replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Harding not in either team. First half team looks very strong, close to a first choice XI. -
Frazer Richardson
-
Sorry - but the average CCC player is not on 8k per week. More like an average of 4-5. If that.
-
Yes- and he seemed to have a good attitude, always gave everything he had and he definately improved throughout the season.
-
He has never really been given a chance at Reading. I would definately still take him for a small fee, loads of potential.
-
And half the people who said when the prices were out "Well I won't be renewing, I've seen a season ticket holder for 39 years etc" probably did renew!
-
The first half team would beat the 2nd half one. 2nd half has more experienced defence but the 1st half has a quality front 5 and Holmes.
-
He was injured at the end of last season. They will just want to ease him back.
-
Sibley: Barnard on bench, unlikely to be risked unless needed. Cork not quite up to speed fitness wise, Davis saved for Sat.
-
I assume Cork is being left out because he has only just started training again - he was with the Eng U21's for ages after the end of the season.
-
Leicester are still lacking a good striker as well.
-
Any sightings of Joseph Mills?
-
Ranger is a complete tool.

I asked the guy who wrote the Chamberlain to join Arsenal on July 1st story how he was getting on at their pre season tour. He hasn't got back to me yet...
-
AOC is on the tour. Source: One of the Saints media guys on Twitter. Relax.
-
Lee Holmes is, with all due respect, a waste of a place in the squad. Even when fit he isn't that good.
-
Good idea. Apart from we will then have loads of threads about a rumours from the football rumours site. People will discuss as if they have a chance of happening!

No contact from Saints: http://www.examiner.co.uk/huddersfield-town-fc/huddersfield-town-news/2011/07/11/no-contact-so-far-from-southampton-for-huddersfield-town-s-gary-roberts-86081-29031595/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

He is left footed though I think, if we got him then surely Holmes could go (if anyone would take him)
-
He definately assisted Barney at Hillsborough and there was more than one occassion a crossfield ball to Chambo lead to a goal. Hammond was vital at the end of the season certainly, but Schneiderlin had more quality on the ball than any other central midfielder than I saw in L1 last season. His link play with Lallana and Lambert especially is excellent.
-
I think Morgan's contract is up at the end of this coming season, hopefully we can get him on a longer one. I really think he is class and will get a bit more time on the ball this season plus better pitches. Was a class apart at times last season and was fantastic in the final game. I know he lacks goals and assists but he really gets he team going and switches play as well as some of the good Prem passers. His defensive awareness has improved so much, he was making some great tackles and interceptions. Could be a big year for him.

Nor me, it was just Eddie Mitchell spouting more crap. Howe had talks and was being consideres but not preferred to Adkins. Mitchell said this week that Bmth are the 'most ambitious team in the division.' Impressive statement backed up by selling 3 of their best players. Seeing as Charlton have signed two of them surely they are more ambitious for a start?!
-
Well Burnley couldn't agree a fee with Chelsea so it was obviously about that too.
-
Biggest weakness may well be mongy fans who boo after we lose a game at home. Or who spread around rumours that Liebherr's family are looking to sell. If neither of those then pace coming off the bench.
-
On Saints Player Adkins definetly talking about Cork as a midfielder.
