  1. a nice pint of Ale , especially at this time of year. Spitfire ! however , a cold lager aint wrong during those warm summer days. And lager if i'm on a bender.....can't neck down pints and pints of the dark stuff.
  2. Grew up loving the rock. Purple, Rush, Rainbow... Have since turned and nowdays admire the clothes, music and style of the mods. This would have made the 60's a confused time for yours sincerely.
  3. When youd rather have a quick Timmy-Tank in the bath than get all lovey dovey with the misses. She will probably say the same.
  4. Copenhagen - Stockholm - Riga or Tallin - Krakow mixture of cities , old and new , and some fantastic countryside and coast inbetween.
  5. dont you mean DAVE ?
  6. The US goverment back in the 80's with Reagan as their puppeteer drew up a blueprint of how the US would enhance its position as the world leader for the long term future. They wanted an empire but couldn't be arsed to build one the good old way. Just choosing a country with assets and invading was a bit too heavy even for them. Their plan was too aquire several statigic govements through placement of leaders (South and central america) or through conflicts (the middle east) thus controlling the supply of drugs and oil. This secret plan of USA world dominance has been floating around the rumour sites/underground press for decades. When you then follow the big news stories of the last twenty years it all falls into place. Central merica - most goverments put in place through the CIA. War on drugs , my arse. Grenada - invaded cause the island was building a new runway , apparently for the nasty ruskies to land on. Proven to be completely wrong , but the island had some geographical significance. Iraq - obvious. Afganistan and surrounding countries - to build pipelines and garantee supply and access to the vast natural gas reserves. Obvious , innit it?
  7. "the handbags and gladrags, that your poor old grandad had to sveat to buy ya" so moving , so true
  8. Upwind , these were brilliant. Thinking of using them this weekend. Can you put them on one side for me?
  9. Cool Runnings ....there you go
  10. Good post . Here we are second in the championship and the forum is full of wrist-slitting pesimists. I for one am really looking forward to the rest of this season. Why? Weve got a squad that have played the game as it should be played, what seems like a fantastic team spirit, and got some amazing results. No Hammer fan can say all of that. And not least, were gonna have some key players back in action soon who will be more than ready for the end of season push. Bring it on Saints!

  14. pair of panda ****** above our fireplace. Just hanging there!
  15. All a bit worrying news this. Gonna be a tight close game tommorrow. Step up Dean , Cork and Spiderman. Own the midfield.
  16. Like the cricket one....with KENT displayed on her f4nny regions
  17. he is a right tool. A proper Billy-big-B0llox you deffinately dont want in the squad, causing unease and confict at every opportunity. No wonder Barca got rid of him after a year. To Saints....No way. Prefer a "Brett Ormerod" anyday.
  18. quality
  19. Kevin Philips. At the start of that season i thought him and BT would be a cracking pair up front and create havoc i any defence. Unfortunately not.
  20. guilty
  21. wont get much for that.....its all old stuff
  22. exactly. keep this up with our 'average' squad of players. Let them underestimate us all season if they want to. Should keep Wenger away for now. For a comparison , just take Swansea. No stars as such but playing as a really good team.
  23. Fantastic result. Game was live in Sweden and has made for a sweeeeet saturday. Good solid performance. Strong central midfield. Connoly & Guly worked Hardy up front. Jos the man at the back. Thought the straight red was a tad harsh. Wouldn't want that if it was our c.back. That's life. Lovin' it
