  1. Hope for a cracking performance today...the game is live in Sweden.
  2. a (not so) funny story from Stockholm this week. A father was so appalled with his sons performance during a floorball match (sort of indoor hockey) last sunday that he made him (apparantly) walk home , after dark , below zero , in his shorts & shirt. He lived 7 euro miles away - that's over 30 UK miles! A caretaker spotted the kid , a 10 year old , and got in touch with his dad , who simply replied Let him walk , its his punishment. Someone else drove him home. Theres loads of rumours going round about what exactly happened and that was said , but the whole country are after the dads name and want blood.
  3. " the Mirror gossip " says it all really
  4. the reviews on Amazon sound promising. I love a book with a bit of relavant history thrown in. i have now added the book to my list.
  5. The membership worked really well for us living abroad and can only make it occasionally. We would definately pay the £30 extra a season to be sure of tickets when we travel over. Even to home games in the PL when they were selling out quickly. Bring back the memberships.
  6. Anyone at St.Marys. Brighton would be fun. Save the big boys to later.
  7. I buy most of my own presents and tell them to wrap em up. Sorted. Got tired of carrying every ****ty present up to the loft after each xmas.
  8. I'm over for Xmas and the new year. What's the deal with fans being allowed into training sessions at Staplewood nowdays? I remember in the old days that you could turn up on tuesdays and watch the days training and got to have a talk withsome of the players afterwards. Is that all finished now under the new regime? Was hoping to go along with the kids whilst over here (only way to get them outdoors and off the computer).
  9. as a player , YES. Can't forget how he tore Leeds apart last year. as a person , No. seems a right d1ck. there you go...
  10. Well i need three tickets.....f--ck me , at £100 each this can be an expensive game.
  11. Hope are away form improves next year. Missed out on Brighton in January but planning on doing Leeds away in march.
  12. My iPlayer is working lovely , thanks COYS
  13. Voted. Does Elmander have a huge fan club or what.
  14. You started with a quick question , heres a stupid one. I am flying over to the UK for xmas and new year and was realllllly looking forward to Brighton away. Taking the kids as well. Especially after standing in the home end at Withdean last year. Not much chance this year. Even Brighton sold out early. Anyway , anyone out there with a couple (or three) tickets that wont be able to go because of 1. Other commitments, 2. Planning on being way too hungover, 3. Planning on being done for mindless, drunken, GBH. If so , drop me a line and i will buy the tickets at a stupidly inflated rate. Cheers
  15. Only watched the game on the box....but It was a really good game to watch, with two teams both trying to play the ball on the deck. Had we only taken one of our many close misses , we'd have got 3points there. Someone of the misses were auful and make Barts mistake so crucial. Time to give Bart a boost , not the push. You dont become a **** keeper over night. Not many would come here and be happy to sit on the bench, month after month. When Steeeeve was through in the 93rd minute , i was sure we were gonna get nr.22. That's football.
  16. Do we KNOW if Ricky is playing today? And i dont mean hearsay from a mate down the pub.
  17. Match is live on Swedish TV today. OK its one of the crappy channels but still fantastic.
  18. Majestic , i was also at Ullevi in 2004. Blagged my way into the England fans section. ****e game , ****e result. Lets hope they're no longer our bogey side since we broke the jinx last month. Gonna see how it goes this summer down in The Ukraine. That's a huge game for us ex-pats over here.
  19. good that someone dares to say what they think , even if it is too radical for everyones taste. The country , the western world even , is full of boring plebs not daring to say anything controversial, just in case they get labelled a whatever. He makes good reading and tv - simple as that.
  20. at the start of the season i was thinking what a hellish couple of months we were gonna have in Sept and October (Forrest,Birmingham,Burnley,Cardiff,Watford,Derby,WHU,Reading,Middleb). We did all right there. Its a tough league. Thats why its interesting , and sooo much more enjoyable than the PL.
  21. I'm gonna be in town from friday afternoon (a chance to do Donny - not in the Danny Dyer way). Might also pop along and see these in action. Meet up for an evening drink before? Anyone else in town for saturday lunchtime?
  22. Been to a few of these in Stockholm through the years. Not too many good games have i seen. I will certainly take the trip up from Gothenburg even though i hate friendlies. The match is a special event to open their new national stadium. Lets hope we can keep this new trend up - were unbeaten against sweden since......well , several days now. We hadn't beaten sweden since 1968 FFS. Dan in Yorkshire - Donny is nearly a home game for you this weekend. You going?
  23. Thankyou ...... That was easy! See ya all saturday in Donny
  24. bugger i was hoping for tickets to that one , if not with the away fans (fat chance) then at least amongst the homies , as we did last year. Now that seams ****ed. as i said , bugger.
  25. Back home for xmas. Hope me old man has fixed us tickets for both the two home games inbetween xmas and new year. Alsace a good seasonal turnout.
