And which striker is going to score goals the way this side is set up to play?
-
Yeah we get that but it would be nice to hear Blackmore at least ask some slightly more demanding questions rather than giving this charlatan a free pass every week.
-
Clutching at more straws than a scarecrow having a hand shandy.
-
Yeah, especially as they rarely keep clean sheets yet we couldn't muster a single shot on target. Russell needs to explain that.
-
Here's a list of questions you might ask Blackmore; Russell, another defeat, is it time for you to admit your tactics don't work and never will and shouldn't you be tendering your resignation for the good of the club and their fans? Why won't you change even though it's obvious to every commentator, pundit and fan that your methods are hopeless? Was that another brave performance or was it a team hopelessly coached by a hopeless manager? What do you want to say to the fans especially those who braved the storm to travel up here today? Did you do enough for them? Will they feel proud of you and the team?
-
Please just get out of our club and take your vanity project somewhere else. We've had enough of you now.
-
Bullshit from Blackmore as he tows the party line. Grow a pair man even if it upsets Russell and you are banned from reporting on the club. You'll have 99% of the fans support. Start asking him the tough questions on behalf of the fans.

Players were brave to go out in that wind today. They also got a bit wet too. I think sometimes we expect too much.

Great performance masterminded by Russell. How are we managing to hold on to this football genius. Credit to SR for fending off the daily enquiries they must be getting from every top club in the world. Let's enjoy him while we can because he won't be here next season.....or maybe he will.
-
Can hear Russ saying, 'we were always in the game, just needed something to fall our way'.
-
Because Russell is unable to set up a team to be solid his default position is to pack the side with defenders as though this will somehow magically solve the problem. It doesn't and it means players like Aribo get left out because of the extra defenders so not only are we still poor at keeping goals out but we also sacrifice a bit of creativity. It's utter madness but it carries on week after week.

Not sure I actually care about today's result. Expecting another defeat but they're hurting less and less as I seem to be building up a sort of immune system brought on by continually losing.
-
One day he'll realise he should be setting up with a double pivot but he's smarter than all the other top coaches who do it.
-
But he takes no action to rectify the situation. It's as though he enjoys putting his money down the drain. As a successful businessman he comes across as a mug when it comes to the way he allows the football club to be run.
-
Yes, I don't think the wind will help Russball.
-
Those were the days 🙂

You missed out Ralph. It ended badly for him but he had some decent seasons and we played some very good football under him. Ok, he's got the two 9-0 matches to his name but I enjoyed lots of games when he was our manager. I'd take him over the current clown that's for sure.
-
Another one blowing smoke up his arse so he thinks he's something special and will never change. These oppo managers aren't mugs.
-
Maybe the wind will blow the ball forward for us - in one half anyway. Might help us be more offensive which is quite a good word for us.
-
Probably not but if you've seen any previous pressers it'll be much the same and include the usual stock phrases and glib comments as Russell blows smoke up his own arse.
-
For what seems like the hundredth time the vast majority on here have no hate for Martin. You seem to mix up criticism with hate.
-
But according to Russell we have to go through the 'calamitous ball retention in our defensive third' so that you can 'bloody love our style of football'. That's the deal I'm afraid.
-
Yeah it's pure heads in the sand stuff. Wake up and smell the coffee guys - Chelsea missed so many easy chances it really could and probably should have been double figures. Don't insult our intelligence by sticking to Russell's snake-oil salesman handbook.
-
And the fitness issue is a really good point. It is sheer laziness by the coaches not to have us as fit as every other side and quite clearly we are not when you see our players continually blowing out of their arses part way through games. Bmuff never stopped running and pressing last night and shame on Russell that we can't match that work rate.
-
Well clearly he's not specifically telling them that but his overall message is not to give the ball away so, rather than play a more risky pass that might get us up the pitch, we mostly take the easier option which is a nothing pass backwards or sideways - it's the mantra that he is instilling not specifics that is the issue.
