Will that suddenly improve his total lack of positional sense?
-
Found it hard to believe that Adam Blackmore failed to pick him up on the constant drop off in the second half of matches particularly after it even happened against Doncaster. Lots of drivel about nothing yet the one thing we'd all like addressed by Eckert is swept conveniently under the carpet. What's the point?
-
No, he was signed because those running the club finally accepted that Bazunu will never make a goalkeeper.
-
He probably will but his bank account will look pretty healthy.
-
Not sure. He seems to suggest that Mateus Mane was a member of our U18 squad but that appears not to be the case.
-
Seems it was one game as a trialist and he decided to join Wolves.
-
Ah, so his appearance for us was as a trialist and he opted to join Wolves. Presume for some reason he never met Ankersen or he'd have certainly joined us 🙂
-
Presume you refer to Mateus Mane. I'm not sure of his history but records show he played one game for our U18s in 23/24. Strange because there is no transfer history for him other than he went from Rochdale to Wolves.

My guess is that SR consider our chances of promotion slim to zero and, as such, will not be doing any further business this window other than outgoings.
-
Amen to that!

I agree with a lot of what you say especially about us being predominantly a bottom half Premier league/top half Championship club. Unlike you I am not reasonably content because SR, the coaches and players rarely give us reasons to feel hopeful and proud about the football club we support. Since SR took over they have presided over a complete mess and show no signs that they are capable of learning lessons or getting their overinflated egos out of the way and allowing someone into the club to run things who has the benefit of a wealth of genuine football knowledge. I am rapidly losing any affinity to the club because, along with everyone else, I've been worn down by these clowns running my club. Time they were gone but I'm not sure how that happens because it's a weird set-up and the ambition seems to be more about player trading than building a football team worth watching and supporting. The game has changed so much and mostly not for the better now that the money men have got their claws into it.

This corporate guff is what is ruining football. Rich people who think they are clever have infiltrated football clubs. They don't want to be coaches but their huge egos lead them to actually believe that they know enough about the game to warrant influencing what goes on and how the game should be played. It is a slippery slope and things are getting worse. High time the grass roots guys who know and love the game took back control but the stark reality is that money talks so these charlatans can buy their way in and manipulate the narrative. We have first hand knowledge of how damaging such charlatans can be once they attain position of power and influence.

Get him on board!
-
Absolutely ridiculous. Glad City got a second late in the game because they were denied a perfectly legitimate goal by VAR.
-
Big and strong is what we are desperately lacking and have been for far too long. Spors said he would deal with it, he hasn't and we continue to get out muscled by sides with inferior skills.
-
Because we're run by idiots and it's the sort of signing they might make.
-
Zero out of one hundred.
-
It's an option to buy ergo he'll be back for next season.
-
Not for me.
-
No thanks.
-
That is about to change.
-
Neither are what we need which is height, strength and power. We must get away from being a team that is easily outmuscled and that will only happen if those in charge do some sensible business in forthcoming transfer windows.
-
He's finding his level for me and is not what we need but glad he's getting a few goals. The striker we need must be big, strong and powerful not another small guy who nicks a few goals. We are crying out for someone to lead the line.

Those were the days. Now the little lambs are wrapped in cotton wool and nobody at the club is allowed to criticise them. I blame the woke brigade 🙂
