I am gonna predict someone on here will not like the new design

Just for context they also mentioned bonnuci and some guy from Zenit, story was about lack of EPl experience in the PL with smalling at 26 the most experienced. I'd be suprised if they spent 50mil on bonnuci so could see them spending cheeky 15mil on a defender with EPL experience

Seems like Gazza will be the starting keeper as their previous one left for Elche, good move. -

Fiorentina & Burnley trying to get in Ziyech according to reports -
Ziyech confirmed after the game that there are 5 clubs in for him and it is likely that was his last game for Twente. 2 of the clubs being talked about are Valencia as a replacement for Gomes who moved to Barca and Ajax. #Ziyechwatch

Mate #ziyechwatch has been going for over 3 transfer windows now, its now time for action Les. Imagine him running at defenders playing balls to our forwards as centre AM. I think myself and Supersaint might just bust a nut if that happened but I think Puel is looking to see how Tadic/Davis play there first.

He has played left wing for most of his career, not saying he can't convert but I think you'd want your no. 10 to track back. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dusan-tadic/profil/spieler/36139 -

To be fair he has been "in talks" with them since the Jan transfer window. They are his "if nothing else decent" option I reckon. -
Credit to Crook there that was a decent article.

Scout report from Benfica forum who spoke with Bayern after they thought they were getting him as part of the Sanches deal. http://www.planetbenfica.co.uk/news/scout-report-pierre-emile-h%C3%B8jbjerg Playing style He is an all-round midfielder, who contributes to his team both in attack and defence. As such, he can be played in a double pivot alongside a more defence-minded midfielder, or in a more dynamic midfield of three. Playing against Dortmund as a wing-back, he showed that he is versatile too. Player comparisons He was the youngest player in Bayern’s treble-winning squad of 2012/13, and was regarded as the heir apparent to Bastian Schweinsteiger. He is a multi-talented midfielder, so the Schweinsteiger comparisons are valid, but for me, he is a mixture of Owen Hargreaves and Michael Ballack. Like both of these players, he can operate in multiple positions and is technically very gifted.

Pelle Set to Leave For China - Telegraph
Convict Colony replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
I like pelle and everything and he has done great service for the team and scored some good goals but letting him go isn't about not appreciating him its us getting back to how we want to play. Can you imagine him being part of a high pressing, hard working team that breaks quickly ? I can't but I can imagine Shane doing that as that is what he does already. He was brought in to be the hold up man for runners and he has done that job but he has got less mobile each season. Time to say thanks and I hope your hair stays intact in the chinese humidity. -

I've seen joe Allen mentioned a fair bit on here over the last 4 weeks has his agent just joined our forum or something. He is dog **** and is the last type of midfielder we currently need as we have small play makers covered, we need big unit destroyer not some Welsh fairy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think I prefer the home kit over the away, I think its the best kit we have had for a long long while. Thumbs up from me

Ben Arfa thanking Puel the other day when he joined PSG "I also have a very personal thought to the former coach, Claude Puel, without which we would never have managed such a season." Gotta be a good thing
-
I think both options look smart and different from our normal options we see every year.

I've got a feeling it will look smart on athletes but on fat blokes will look like a bra

Lived in Lyon for a year so reckon that counts

Southampton's pattern of signing off-the-radar, potentially underrated managers from outside England has continued. After getting good returns from the hires of Mauricio Pochettino and Ronald Koeman -- both on the pitch and in their buyouts when they moved on -- the Saints have brought in another similar manager in Claude Puel. Puel is an experienced manager, having been in charge at Monaco, Lille, Lyon and Nice over the past 17 years. He has a good track record with bringing young players into the first team, something Southampton said was a major factor in his hiring. Puel got Nice to overperform in Ligue 1 last year and is also partially responsible for the career resurrection of Hatem Ben Arfa. Nice finished fourth in France last season, and with an impressive plus-17 goal differential, too. While their rivals are chasing big name managers, Southampton might have fleeced everyone again by grabbing the best person for their job on the market. http://www.sbnation.com/soccer/2016/6/30/12067588/southampton-might-have-found-another-hidden-gem-in-claude-puel
