  1. Hey if it was up to me we would of also signed Wijnaldum last season so I think I can confirm I am not Les Reed ;-) Looking at it objectively I think we only need 1 player any others would most likely be amazing deal or replacements for those that have left. AM addition - Ziyech or a bit of a random one why not try and also get that Ryan Gauld in since he seems of to have stalled in Lisbon.
  2. Since this is where we do a lot of shopping, here are the top 24 goal makers in the Eredivisie this season. http://www.voetbalzone.nl/inbeeld.asp?uid=277541#24
  3. Bit random but the below article highlights the different characters of Depay and Wijnaldum, looks like Gini is 100% our sort of player http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=278152
  4. Batman you may get some grief at times but you always summarise lengthy video's etc all the time so thanks bro.
  5. If I was to describle Graziano it would be that he is a lower scoring version of Luca Toni. I say we keep him and potential see him score the same if not more goals next season as he gets rested a lot more and has more energy where his impact makes a difference. Think Koeman would want to keep him as well though.
  6. I'm still laughing that for the 4th goal while no one else was near him from 6yards davis still managed to hit the keeper
  7. I think Leicester have really done us a favour this season, them winning the league has shown that breaking into the top4 and possible winning the league can be done. Where previously they could have seen the increased spending as a risk with lower chance of return they can now see it could be possible. I think they will increase the money available in line with Ron's ambitions and the new tv revenue.
  8. Yeah I've just read that in the dutch press (edit see they are reporting swiss news), 10million apparently and we are competing with Man City, Leverkusen, Napoli and Red Bull Leipzeg. http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=277952 And can I be the first to say he looks like a unit.
  9. Everton apparently believe they are an attractive proposition as they will have 75-100mil to spend in the summer (this estimated budget includes stones and/or lukaku sales otherwsie they are looking at 40mil cash). Newcastle spent 75mil of pure cash this year on players and still got relegated, spending money isnt a gurantee to success and anyway with this new tv deal kicking in I would expect most teams to spend min of over 30mil this season just to maintain. I could seriously see us spend over 50mil for the 1st time ever in a season if we aim to "match" Ronalds ambition maybe even a bit more and keep all the players.
  10. How consistent were Tadic and Pelle for us in the first season, the only difference is newcastle don't have a squad strentgh that they can rest wijnaldum if he isnt performing.
  11. Last year's Eredivisie player of the year who has had Steve Mclaren manage him for most of the season in e terrible team, no wonder his confidence is shot. Buy him for 7m (half price) and depay for 15m
  12. I'm saying Marc Batra to us to replace Jose based purely on this photo he posted today and he has been told he can leave apparently
  13. Isn't Banega going to Milan
  14. I live on that map and can confirm those coffee shops are more for tourists than dutch people.
  15. He would be coming for 1 yr by all accounts as they reckon he will join Beckham's MLS team the following year. Maybe he will treat this like a sabbitical and maybe lower his cash for 1 season as he has been paid more money than god over the last 4-5yrs and will no doubt rake in the MLS cash as well.
  16. Often known for his direct comments, Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played under Louis van Gaal at Ajax who was working as a technical director for the club back in 2004. A decade later now, the two don’t seem to be the best of friends, at least that is what Ibrahimovic believes. Following is an excerpt from his autobiography I Am Zlatan: We headed to a training camp in Portugal and, by that time Beenhakker had resigned as director and was replaced by Louis van Gaal. Van Gaal was a pompous ass. He was a little like Co Adriaanse. He wanted to be a dictator, without a hint of a gleam in his eye. As a player, he'd never stood out, but he was revered in the Netherlands because, as a manager, he'd won the Champions League with Ajax and received some medal from the government. Van Gaal liked to talk about playing systems. He was one of those in the club who referred to the players as numbers. There was a lot of Five goes here and Six goes there, and I was glad when I could avoid him. In Portugal, I couldn't escape. I had to go in for a meeting with van Gaal and Koeman and listen to how they viewed my contribution in the first half of the season. It was like a performance review with grades, the kind of thing they loved at Ajax. I went into an office there and sat down in front of van Gaal and Ronald Koeman. Koeman smiled. Van Gaal looked sullen. "Zlatan," said Koeman, "you've played brilliantly, but you're only getting an eight. You haven't worked hard enough at the back." "Okay, fine," I said, wanting to leave. I liked Koeman, but couldn't cope with van Gaal, and I thought, Great, an eight will do me. Can I have a break now? "Do you know how to play in defence?" Van Gaal was sticking his oar in, and I could see that Koeman was getting annoyed too. "I hope so," I replied. Then van Gaal started to explain, and, believe me, I'd heard it all before. It was the same old stuff about how Nine—that is, me— defends to the right, while Ten goes to the left, and vice versa, and he drew a bunch of arrows and finished with a really harsh "Do you understand? Do you get all this?," and I took it as an attack. "You can wake up any of the players at three in the morning," I said, "and ask them how to defend and they'll rattle it off in their sleep: Nine goes here and Ten goes there. We know that stuff, and we know you're the one who came up with it. But I've trained with van Basten, and he thinks otherwise." "Excuse me?" "Van Basten says Number Nine should save his strength for attacking and scoring goals, and, to tell the truth, now I don't know who I should listen to, van Basten – who's a legend – or van Gaal?" I said, putting special emphasis on the name van Gaal, as if he were some completely insignificant figure. And what do you reckon? Was he happy? He was fuming. Who should I listen to, a legend or van Gaal? "I've gotta go now," I said, and got out of there.
  17. There is much to like with all the above, I sir concur with your suggestion.
  18. boooooommmmmm I'm loving this, its like buying a lottery ticket, you pay the money to dream about it coming true and this my friend is my football lottery ticket.
  19. If Ron fancies him and he confirms he will sign a new contract with us then Hakim defo could be on the cards "I let it come to me. If there is something beautiful I see it, whether it's at home or abroad. I love me until that time Ziyech says, "doing at FOX Sports . Ziyech says he will choose a trainer and not necessarily for a club. "I do not choose a club, but for the trainer. When the coach sees you sitting in it is good. I go there quite deliberately look over there and would like to make my choice. " http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=276684
  20. If its Baltimore based or pharmaceuticals then its gonna be one of Avon Barksdale, Stringer Bell, Marlow Stansfield or the legendary Slim Charles. They are well established but need to expand their territory.
  21. I thought Vic and Jordy were excellent, always pick pocketing their midfielders and pressing when the chance arose, back 4 were very good, just unlucky with the goal. Some players with bad 1st touches (long and pelle especially), was nice to see Jay show that a striker can actually hit the target without 20 attempts first. I still want a no. 10 trequartista and a clinical striker (if charlie doesnt perform).
  22. Think Thomas is doing an ok job at Dortmund, stuggle to think he would think we are a step up hahahha
  23. Been all over Jorge for a few years now, he speaks good English and fits in with our style plus he is a manager par excellence. I highly highly rated him, what he did with universedad and then the national team has been awesome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Preach brother preach me and Supersaint have been saying this for a long time.
