Will watch this today to see our potential "signings" for the summer http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11907/9656529/ajax-v-feyenoord-six-players-to-look-out-for-in-sundays-de-klassieker-live-on-sky-sports

Get Millk or Guidetti

1st season in a foreign league and he's contributed more than AL has to liverpool this year. Think its natural he is fatigued, he did have an awesome start and only scored the winner in Man U a couple of games ago.

Nice article mate, I look forward to seeing if MLG can find out about the Toby wage issue.

Year poor old Hans really hates De Boer

Article from back in Sept (post transfer window) on the best young players in the Eredivisie. http://www.just-football.com/2014/09/eredivisie-best-young-players-to-watch-2014-15-the-10-series-talents/ Some names I've not heard of before so very interesting.

Yeah and Toby was beyond us as a signing this summer, I think we can all agree we need another pure target man forward we have JRod/Sadio/Elia/Tadic/Long who are all very similiar.
-
Surely as our feeder club we have the first right of refusal for all Celtic players even if they are on loan http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/english/john-guidetti-a-target-for-southampton-1-3667890

I reckon I can claim getting involved in the saga starting back in July, I really rate JG.

We will finish on 72pts if our points per game average from the season so far is applied to the last 16 games which I think after 22 games isn't a bad mean to base our predictions on. The thing I don't understand (please enlighten moi) is why everyone keeps quoting betting odds like they are a fundamental basis for the future as all the betting companies do is adjust the odds as a reaction to the money that's being placed on them. These odds vary daily based on newspaper story's, injuries and signings that occur at the time which then incite people to bet a certain way. For instance we were nailed on fighting for relegation at the beginning of the season according to the same sources quoted above and reflected in the bookmakers odds. They can see the future as well as the lookout on the Titanic can see icebergs. Top 4 will be extremely tough for us yes based purely on squad depth and from my perspective we have stopped getting goals out of Graziano but we are currently better placed than Arsenal/ManU/Spurs/Liverpool currently based on fixtures and points, its always better to be in front rather than reclaim points especially when your fixture list is about to get hectic. Muppet Alert July 2014 - Sky Bet Football Trader Jamie Munro said: "The combination of their mass sales and the fact that we’ve seen more money on them than any other club in our relegation betting has forced us to slash their odds considerably. "It's unprecedented to cut a Premier League club's relegation odds by more than half without a ball being kicked but the betting in our Transfer Specials suggests the situation is only going to get worse. "Schneiderlin and Rodriguez have been well backed to join Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham and there's little to suggest reinforcements are on the way, while Ronald Koeman's lack of Premier League experience is also cause for concern." http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/article/165/9398282/southampton-slashed-for-relegation

I heard that Bearsy would like us to go for Szczesny as a back up keeper as he reckons he is guaranteed to cover himself in glory after he saw what he did in our game, don't see it myself

Eljero Elia - Confirmed 6 Month Loan
Convict Colony replied to Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd's topic in The Saints
Good to see Eljero is having a laugh, its 2.30am and he's posting birds with big arses on his facebook/twitter hahaha -
Also another 14pts and we equal our points haul last season, so 5 more wins and its our best ever season in the premier league.
-
Also Sanchez is due a spell out I think with a bad back from carrying his team all season.

Most of pundits on our screens are ex players who do not work hard at their craft and are allowed to come out with lazy platitudes for a easy payday. The biggest culprits by far is the BBC & BT Sport given the pundits they have recruited, the only exception for me for total contempt is Lineker and I never thought I'd say it Shearer as they at least challenge the lazy perceptions being issued. Sky are far more demanding of their pundits for the cash they pay out to their pundits across Soccer Saturday, Saturday Night Football, Super Sunday and Monday Night Football. Would you prefer watch Robbie Savage, Michael Owen, Phillip Neville or would you watch Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry.

I think if we do qualify for the champions league Liverpool have shown how you should not go about it. I think its important to treat it as a nice bonus and not a divine right, use it as the opportunity to sign a couple of real real quality players who still fit within our economics but who would normally be out of our reach (personally I think Ron has Clasie penciled in for when/if Morgan goes). Then obviously we aim to get as far as possible but have a stronger squad than this year for the league next to try and improve, I'm going all Kaizen as our approach to improvement.
-
Also is that like the 4th or 5th time Erikson has saved spurs in the 80 + minute, surely he's due a hamstring tweak as they have been flattered (chelsea apart) by their recent form as they were crap in a lot of those games they won.
-
looking at our games played and points accrued we are set up for 72 points at the end of the season if we maintain our average, so looking at the next 6 games to maintain that we need 12 points (11.45 average). Anything above that is all the more welcome. Spurs have some horror games coming up in Feb (schedule + fixture), Man U have an easy Feb coming up but for them March onwards gets very hard as they play all the big teams.

Newcastle 1 - 2 Southampton Post Match euphoria
Convict Colony replied to SNSUN's topic in The Saints
he's pretty quick on non newcastle games but he may need booze for this one -
******** i tried to do that last week and couldn't find him. He's replacing tadic i think for me next week
-
Stoked I had Elia as the first scorer in the game at 7/2

Cheers redslo, good to know you spend time googling Southampton so you can get to sleep at night hahaha. Interesting stuff, yeah I was quite disappointed I could find it either but agree it's probably proprietary so they won't let the masses know for free.
