McGoldrick's work rate was much improved. Cork made some excellent tackles. Gobern really impressed me today. I can see him picking up a couple of goals from corners or set pieces if he gets some more starts, which he will judging by today's performance. He seems pretty strong and determined for a nipper. McLaggon looks like another talent we could use. Very quick. Has he got a shot on him?

He seemed to be hobbling a bit. I asked him how his ankle was and he said not good. He reckons he will miss the Utd game for sure and could be out for 2 - 3 weeks.

How refreshing. It's been a while since we had a takeover thread, even one that says there won't be a takeover. I say bring back the good old days when we had lots of threads about takeovers that were never going to happen.

Maybe a loyalty scheme like they did for the play offs would work. ie if you have a purchase history this season then you get priority. Just you watch all those "stay away" loyal Saints fans come out of the woodwork for this one.

We had low attendances last season, when there was no credit crunch. Since the financial turmoil has worsened the attendances have dropped accordingly. I think the club doesn't do itself any favours with it's pricing policy, particularly where juniors are concerned. I took my nephew last night and it cost £20 for a ticket. (He's 12). If I was to take him to Coventry on Saturday it would cost £11.50. I thought the kids for a quid promotion was a good idea but the usual suspects moaned and whined on this forum.

Warning: Gnomes are dangerous. What at first may appear to be a cute addition to your garden can soon become a problem. You may find your property overrun by the little critters in no time at all. The only safe way to deal with gnomes, as advised by the Anti Gnome League (AGL) is to: 1) Decapitate the gnome. 2) Bury the gnome's body. 3) Paint over the gnome's eyes and mouth. 4) Store the gnome's head in a box underneath your bed.
