I went in to town and had a look at both today. I definitely prefer the HTC, it's far more intuitive. The only downside is the screen resolution. Other than that, it's a winner. Decision made. Thanks for the input guys ( not you Norway Saint! )

I have an HTC Hero and I'm really impressed with it. So I'm kind of going with you guys at the moment. I haven't come across anyone with the Samsung yet. It's big brother (Galaxy S) is very highly rated.
