I'm using the Hero but I guess everything on that will work on the much sexier Desire. Handcent SMS - much better SMS app. AutoResponder - sends a (customisable) SMS if you can't answer the phone if you're at footie, the cinema etc. Call Filter - Will answer and immediately hang up any calls from with held / unknown numbers. AndWobble - Take pics and then make them wobble (my kids love this). Google Sky Map - Point your phone at a star and this app will identify it (or search and it will locate for you). Movies (Flixter) - Tells you what's on at your nearest cinema, with trailers etc. Google Listen - Subscribe to and download podcasts. Phonalyzr - Keep track of everything to do with phone usage. SMS Backup - Does what it says on the tin (backed up via email to your googlemail account). Astro - Good file manager. Layar - Augmented reality (very clever). All available from the Android Market on your phone. HTH.

Thought about mini Opera or maybe Skyfire. Any good? PS. Have your posts suddenly jumped up to over 10k mate?

All sorted now Andy. I've managed to log in. Hopefully I shan't need to again (it should remember my details). Are you with T-Mobile? Latest date is June 18th for T-Mobile's 2.1 upgrade - we shall see. It is possible to upgrade yourself to Android 2.1 (search on YouTube), but I think I shall wait.

Bizarrely, the problem seems to have rectified itself. I haven't altered any settings, but have kept trying to log in all morning; all of a sudden it's fine. Case closed. PS. Andy, totally unrelated, but have you upgraded to Android 2.1 yet?

Since the upgrade to the forum yesterday I have been unable to log in using the default browser on my HTC Hero. I enter my username and password and hit GO, but I end up with a white screen. Any ideas? Stevo..... help!

This forum has never reached consensus on anything and it never will (which is a good thing). I don't think a representative is a good idea. But if Dan Kerins or Gordon Simpson phoned Steve Grant up and asked to use a particular poll result from this forum in the Echo then why not.......?

Post of the day........nay.....week! I am sick of the lack of solidarity between some sections of our fanbase and others. Surely we should be sticking up for those who may struggle to watch Saints this season rather than sniping, mocking and proffering unwanted financial advice?

I was at SMS today and didn't notice tons of soil lying around. However I did notice that there were some workmen trying to sort a problem of loads of water p1ssing off the top of the roof. It looked like they were replacing some kind of insulation / lagging material. I hope SMS gets a much needed spruce up over the Summer; it was looking tired and shabby in places today.
