  1. Didn't Patred use to post on here the season before last now, mainly to do with Richard Wright & the goalkeeping coach (whose name escapes me)??
  2. If you consider 6-8 months as not taking long, then no, I guess not.
  3. Here you go - posted yesterday.
  4. Didn't The Farmer confirm yesterday that Tony Lynam had spent the day at st Mary's and hinted that all was just dandy? This is possibly just a rumour that starts when nothing of any note happens for a few days. Do we not all remember the past couple of weeks where it has swayed from "its close. yipee" to "lets face it. We are screwed"
  5. Who did you vote for? I don't want to waste my vote as we appear to be using "first passed the post" rather than proportional representation?
  6. Interesting question. Echo reported it only themselves last week. Perhaps they forgot what they wrote? Thought they would compose some new story and hope no one notices that they don't appear to know what is going on? I had assumed that the loan from Leon was the reason why Fry dropped his non refundable deposit to secure exclusivity? As always, more questions than answers.
  7. Not exactly. They too have been seeking new investment/ownership for much of the last 12 months, and they are a club in the PL with a city council that is despeat to elp find a new site for a ground, esp with the world cup bid in mind Whilst they remain at Fratton Park they will continue to struggle to narrow their losses. Their plans to cut the wage bill in order to do just that may be about to be ripped up, only serving to increase their losses - a risky business given the calls for clubs to be run more prudently. Feel free though to continue to act the prima donna
  8. That would be against all odds ;-)
  9. He is part of the Salz group..right? So he is of the opinion that the MJ/Green will fail, and not only that, Aviva/Barclays will "fold" and let the Salz group pick the club up for a pittance? All in the space of 3 days?
  10. You are quite right. You don't need maga money to get out of the league. You do, though, appear to have mega money to do the deal with the creditors. This not so small sticking point would seem to cast doubt on the Salz group.
  11. Funny that cos he grew up supporting the team in red.
  12. The one with nowhere near the sort of money Mark Fry is seeking either? So what makes them more likely to succeed than MJ/Green on that simple basis Is their square root of FA better? Seems to me Leon is just wasting his money
  13. I appreciate the comparision is not ideal, but their plan to break even is based solely on moving players, currently crippling them, on to pastures new (hardly a plan we too cannot implement). They are not forecasting a sharp increase in revenue to turn around their annual losses. We can also help to increase our revenue by using the facilities at the stadium, eg conferences, concerts, birhtdays, weddings and bar mitzvas (sp?). Fratton does not compare on that score.
  14. With a great many of the high earners' contracts coming to an end, surely the gap between the income/expense will severely reduced at the very least, with the view of operating within budget in the next 12-18 months when the last remaining vastly-inflated contracts come to an end? If that lot down the road can break even in this same period with a restricted ground capacity (all be it with TV money), then why are do you feel we won't ever, and therefore will scare off anyone with an interest? I think the majority of supporters will take an SFC over a club continuing to live beyonds its means?
  15. Hopefully I can put my blue 05 signed shirt on again! I was jostling with the kids as he made his way across the car park the day he signed - and I'm 3 years his elder!! ;-)
  16. Are you Mark Fry? At those prices, it is little wonder we haven't found someone to match the valuation! I would say that the break up value is about half of the £8m allegedly on the table. I have not seen an argument/case to explain just how the break up value could possibly reap more. Player values will be nil, and property prices have gone through the floor.
  17. PLayers would be released and have no value if the club is liquidated. Also JF is not valued at anywhere approaching 2-3 mil. I still don't see how the break up value is greater than £8m
  18. But the value of the land (JF) was listed as no more than £1m, was it not? Planning permission has not been granted, and it does not lie in an area where significant development is planned. Plus, surely, if anything the "real" value has dropped in the last 18 months ..along with house prices?
  19. Is someone able to explain how the creditors get more from a liquidated saints than from one where an investor takes the club forward? I understand that approx £8m is being mooted as being paid by potential investors.... so how will liquidation raise more?
  20. That's the question we all want to hear the answer to. As one of the biggest creditors, Barclays are playing a very risky game PR-wise. Lets hope any deal on the table is fair and reasonable to all sides... especially ours ;-)
  21. South Today just gave the attributed quotes from earlier in the day.
  22. Though it still clearly remains the preferred option/bid? So may be it either isn't that much of a worry, or its not about financial guarantees? There are no direct quotes saying what the guardian report after all?
  23. Wonder if this is the Canadians, who wanted the council to take on the stadium?
  24. Why don't they give fans the opportunity to buy a season ticket for next season? 15,000 x £350 = >£5m. Whilst not going into what was the plc it can surely be ring-fenced and used to show that there is £5m off he bat in terms of the overall annual revenue? Given the choice of a season ticket and £20 for a fund raiser I know what I would rather contribute to (having already donated 2 tickets for the burnley community scheme, in buying merchandise, and contribution to SOS)
  25. Why did you put in your edit of the post that you thought it was Pinnacle's registered address? You are clearly not a stupid man, so why do you think we all are? Don't try to excuse yourself with a lie. It makes it worse. I often disagree with a ot of the more millitant posters on here, but they have never sunk that low - and I doubt they would. Insults are often dealt with by an infraction. I think this deserves a permanent ban.
