  1. Once again alpine throws an accusation at someone more appropriate to his own behaviour. I can't make my mind up if you are pricelessly funny, and therefore enjoy our jousts, or if you are a total tool.... Actually, on reflection, its both
  2. Could you not have called the thread "Le Tissier criticises appointment"? Nothing like being sensationalist, eh?
  3. I thought the general consensus after his criminal misdemeanour was that Dyer shoud never pull on the shirt again? Cork was also never our player. He is Chelsea's and was merely sent on loan here for a fixed 3 month period. Thomson was apparently a disgrace only a week ago when he was so unfit that the Bournemouth players were all sat on the minibus waiting for him to finish the run. Oh, and Rasiak was a lazy ******. Sometimes I am confused reading this forum
  4. CVAs have not been granted in the past as HMRC have resolutely refused to accept the terms put forward in coming out of administration. HMRC are not one of the creditors so a CVA is far more likely. That being so, then the only points penatly will be the 10 we forego by going into admin iin the first place.
  5. I am not an apologist though I can understand why some think I may be, but is it that they are cheaper, or just that they make up what was/is to be the "grand plan" to try and take the club forward (of which there is no evident signs, ie results)?

  7. I guess they are being asked in view of the club's financial predicament rather than for some petty reason like not having their laces tied or having their tie loosened? No one likes it, but for the club to "survive" difficult and unpalatable decisions have to be made. If we are in L1 next year I would rather it be from a position of nil points rather than minus 17. It would also be attractive to any potential investors if they see they have a chance to return to the CCC in the first season rather than immediately face a task to stay in L1.

  9. I suggested a discounted renewal rate for early bird, and standard renewal rates for the 09/10 season for those ST holders who renewed in 08/09 if they felt they needed to be equitable. I, too would prefer to see more in attendance. Though that is tempered by the fact that those that do still go annoy the "jeebers" out of me currently.
  10. Did you think they booed better than us at the half time whistle?
  11. what's that I see half way through the second half??? Burnley on their backs having their collective tummy tickled? Not quite so hard to imagine them being in the same league as us at present now eh?
  12. Have to admit it is one very long goal drought What is it c.20 minutes?
  13. Its to do with geology... due to its proximity to the river the ground temperature should mean the pitch is not frozen. Wind chill has no bearing on how hard the ground is
  14. According to those who think you have to play hoofball to get out of/stay in this league, every other team in this league plays no nonsense centre backs. we potentially pair 2 of the most experienced, (yet also comfortable on the ball) CBs who read the game well and enjoy a tackle, and loe we are worried about pace!
  15. along with Wilde and Crouch - ie the whole flippin lot of them. Getting Lowe to stand down does not solve our problems. He would still be an influence and a shareholder. Leon taking over again does not solve our problems either. His actions at the recent AGM, to me at least, showed he was/is equally divisive as well as all about himself. I think the "silent majority" just want his flipping pantomime to end.
  16. Not sure what to make of today's rumours (its watford; no, its charlton; no, it is watford after all...). Was hoping though that we would have had some news today (if not before, that the loan had been extended). If he does move on, and all it is is a loan then I don't really see what it serves. If there is a deal to sign for x amount at the end of the loan in the summer then that could have taken the matter out of both the player and the club's (saints) hands. I do know, that having spoken with Jan, that he wants/wanted jack to stay and is a big admirer. One thing though.... these rumours are not mentioned anywhere on Watford or Charlton forums
  17. Yes - and probably genuinely jealous of McGoldrick's scoring rate too
  18. Not really as it is, in all probability, less likely that Pearson would repeat the trick in the higher division. Not impossible. Just less likely.
  19. I think you mean Kayode Odejayi. Whose record is 1 goal in 23 appearances in all comps this season. He has been used mainly as a sub this year it would appear. Seyi Olofinjana is a midfielder who last year was with Wolves and was bought by Stoke in the summer.
  20. If we were playing in the division below, then it is equally likely oh....IMO
  21. Oh no! and you have broken your new year resolution where you promised "to take a day off"
  22. F*cking priceless! Funniest thing I have heard this year
  23. Is that why he has gone public then? Its about time that all of them took some responsibility instead of always shifting the blame. Whilst I share some of the sentiments in Leon's statement. It is still airing our dirty linen in public once again. I wish they would all stop trying to claim they are looking after the fans' interest. If they did we could have saved ourselves the last "god knows" how many years. They should take some of their own advice and get behind the team!!!
  24. uh oh the police have arrived - though more like a PCSO (ie not a proper one, just likes to pretend).
  25. Go back and read mine.. the bit where it says that having said something positive you just can't leave it and feel compelled to reel off a list of negatives too. How trying to dispel the politics around the club and asking "supporters" of the club to unite behind the team is actually "divisive" god only knows?!
