The statement from the club a few weeks back advising that latest losses would be c£17m before player trading told you that. Did that bit of news go in one ear and straight out the other side? No one is happy about this situation. However, I sense you like to be melodramatic about it all.

Isn't it that a clause has been activated in Davies' contract (he can leave if a PL club submits an offer of £x)? He has also informed the club he would like to go. Therefore, are we not powerless? Can I just ask where you were sat? Only from where I was in the Chapel, I only heard the Brum fans when they scored their second (ie after 80 minutes). I thought the crowd was quiet all round.

How is it a "fact" that they are not good enough? They just gave the side with probably the strongest squad in the division one tough game. For the first 15 minutes McLeish must have been a pretty worried man as his side could not get close enough to wrestle the possession. The margin between winning, drawing and losing are very fine. You only have to look at the 2 scrappy goals (in my view anyway) Brum scored today and Stern's header which Taylor would not have got near had it been a yard further to the left of the near post.

Exactly. Again, I was heartened by the performance. I won't fault the commitment, effort and style in which they play, esp against a side relegated from the PL last season. Its easy to sit and snipe and chip away from a distance.
