Talking about it on Talksport,Chairman and he had a a bad working relationship apparently.He has been fired.

Not the best draw imo. There wil be loads of hype and one hell of alot of focus on the build up in the media down here for this game,this could prove a big distraction. As long as the focus remains on what is more important,the league' I hope the players,who for most this will be a very glamerous tie and very eager to be involved do not hold back in the league games. Of course it could work the other way and the will be eager to prove they should be in the starting 11,we will see.

I think he did a bloody good job whilst he was here. He was a breath of fresh air after all the recent crap before him. He brought some belief,excitement and some bloody fun and respect back to our club. I wont use one thing as an example to reinforce my opinion,but i don't think many at Wembley were complaining. He made mistakes like those before him and i'm sure those that follow will also. But you will notice i have Never compared him to Adkins like many appear obsessed with doing. They are different men but that does not mean one is better than the other based on some of the balls spouted on here. I never regarded him as the messiah,just someone who put us back on track and helped me fall in love with SFC oncemore. Thanks Pards,Markus and others for putting the wheels in motion. I answered that in my previous post,as i knew that would be your next 'Angle' And just because you percieve it 'crap' does not make your opinion anymore factual.

Because we now seem to have that little bit of consistancy going into games.Putting in convincing displays on a more regular basis,of corse there will be blips but NOW we look like a side that can beat anyone in front of us,whereas before......stuttering along performance wise.

And here is a case in point. So polarised in there own opinion,so blind to anothers opinion. And again you appear not to understand the meaning of 'context'.I will breifly explain.....The players at the time did not appear to be able to possibly transfer what Adkins was trying to instill in them into performances hence they seemed not be able to play for him,in the manner he desired. Now it seems they are transfering what he wants onto the field of play. Christ i think the bloke is doing well now,and just because it took me a little longer to to think that than the obvious psychics on here you get obsessed. get over it,move on. I have.

I am more than happy to admit my initial concerns are wavering,most definately. I just could not join the 'everything is wonderful' brigade..."we are lucky to have him"........blah blah blah...before a ball was kicked in anger. Just as many almost spontaniously combusted with the excitment of his appointment, i chose wait a little.That in itself is not a crime,although many on here appeared to believe it was. Now i believe we appear to have landed on our feet with his appointment from how we are NOW making progress. Yesterdays team selection,tactics,result and now what appears a little consistancy in our performances,over the last 4 games,is what i needed to think yep NA has talent. "For what its worth I am still a bit concerned by Adkins, the Brentford game where he sat on his hands for 81 minutes has me wondering. A few other dodgy team tactics in games also - mainly away games." Also he was not getting the best out of the players at his disposal.results were going our way i agree,but the performances both individualy and collectively were under par to what we know the players are/were capable off. Anyway that is in the past were seem to be making headway in many areas ,enjoy.

Of course, i will be delighted if we don't gain promotion don't be so ridiculous. So you have concerns about Adkins now,how strange, after my initial lack of enthusiasm for his appointment and lack of impact he was having up until 4 games ago i too had concerns. But as i type this minute i can happily admit he is winning me round. It looks now that whatever was wrong in the early part of his tenure,and don't tell me everything was rosey,looks to have been addressed. You make one too many assumptions in your post. However i will maintain,he should get us promoted with this squad at his disposal,and i am now far more confident he will. In Nigel we trust,there you go,does that make you feel better?

Now my little boy has just turned 5 yrs old and is genuinly taking an interest and demanding to be Saints on FIFA,table footie and such like he will venture to his first game,accompanied by myself and his grandad. I will be bursting when i take him to the megastore to by him his first proper kit,he did have a mini kit when he was about 18 months,coupled wth the fact their will be 3 generations of us going together. My deciding factor will be when/if the weather is a little more conjusive for a little'un.

This was seriously damaged by fire last week......now if i was into conspiracy theories..... This was confirmed in the Portsmouth evening news, fire in the roof space,now back to conspiracy theories.....
