  1. No we have not. You can show as many stats as you like, again,i am not convinced we have moved on in any shape or form. If anything we are worsening,at best we are stagnating.
  2. He does have previous in getting out of this league, promotion and iirc relegation,i might be wrong however.
  3. This. Adkins biggest failing is not to manage the squad to fulfill its potential. If anything, the players that have served us well are rapidly becoming very mediocre. something is very wrong,we should not be looking to make wholesale changes or aquisitions, but unfortunately the side is dishing up dross compared to what many were advocating what Adkins would serve up. choice is get more players in and hope adkins can make these players better than what we have or get rid of adkins and see if the players we have regain what they had under pardew. Adkins is stifling the players we all know to have talent.imo.
  4. he bloody well can be judged, his squad or not. he should be getting more out of this squad and that is a fact. where the hell is the improvement. many seem to conveniently forget that we had minus ten points last season.pardew did a good job whilst here and i would have been a damn site more optimistic if he had remained.appointimg adkins will prove to be a balls up.hope he proves me wrong obviously, but he is medioce at best and he has turned this side into a very average team.
  5. Unfortunately the damage was done when he was appointed. He may still take us up one league, but any further than that no chance. He was a very short sighted appointment. Chopping and changing managers does no one any favours so we will have to stick with him and hope he manages to get something out of this squad. I don't trust him with any available funds in the January transfer window either. You would have to be very poor not to get this side out of this division.
  6. Alan Pardew could have done the job. Very regretable that he was shown the door, whatever his misdemeanor .
  7. Adkins remains a disappointing appointment. What a waste of what was a talented squad.
  8. We continue to underachieve and flatter to decieve. Adkins is not the man to take us forward. I remain steadfast in this view.
  9. He really is not that good is he,c'mon, admit it . We are going backwards under his stewardship.
  10. Whatever others may think i beleive Pardew did a bloody fine job here. He was a major cog in the wheel that gave me one of the most enjoyable sesons in many a year. I felt we were full of belief, determination and had a bright future under his stewardship. I would be surprised if many at Wembley had much to mank about him.coupled with a fairly strong push into the playoffs in which we narrowly missed out upon despite the points penalty. Mistakes were made, but no different many others managers make throughout a season. And no doubt those similar mistakes will be made by any subsequent manager, infact i beleive some have been made thus far this season. We are hardly setting the world on fire with the new exciting style of play....are we? I wish him well at Newcastle, unfortunately he has got an immense job to win over the fans before he even started, something i don't think he had to do when he arrivied here, well not in the same capacity. I really hopes he does the business up there,but.....
  11. Would not come as a surprise,imo.
  12. Some slightly concerning news for me today whilst in a attendace of a works meeting,i work for a charitable organisation that SFC and affiliates contribute immensly both ongoing and in the past,i was informed that PFC have approached us and offered their services to the fundraising dept. One comical point was that they were offering free stadium tours to our service users which did give me a wry smile,at which point my boss enquired why...i explained the best i could without bursting into laughter. However on serious note i did explain the situation that became apparent with the Harbour Cancer trust, plus others, in my home town,i fear this fell on deaf ears. If they are sincerely willing to help, good on them, but it seems quite strange that now all of a sudden they offer their services whereas in the past our approaches have been shunned. Perhaps i am a little too cynical.
  13. Even if it is just a couple of lines in the Sun this rumour does not sit well with me.
  14. Paranormal Activity, bloody spooky stuff. Put the wind up me.7 and a bit out of 10. The fourth Kind, again quite spooky and a tad weird,Mila Jovovich is just a bag of horn. 6/10
  15. Done this last year for my little boy and he thought it was just brilliant. A little better this year too, they have made some improvements. Can also be done for other people this year..... http://www.portablenorthpole.tv/home
  16. All going tits up again..and again...and again...??? Anyone got a spare £25m.... "The escalating war between former Portsmouth supremo Alexandre Gaydamak and present owner Balram Chainrai has reached breaking point. Gaydamak has now served legal notice ordering the club to vacate the offices and halt the use of the car park by Christmas after they refused to pay rent in excess of £36,000 a month. Gaydamak has even threatened to redevelop the land and seek building permission after demanding £15million to sell it back to Portsmouth." I did afford myself a chuckle. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Portsmouth-facing-meltdown-because-of-warring-chairmen-Alexandre-Gaydamak-and-Balram-Chainrai-article644181.html#ixzz17C2yo2Gy

  22. My Cousins step son is undergoing treatment for this. He started of using a cream perscribed for him but this costv a fortune apparently and was a long slow drawn out process. He is now about to commence Laser treatment,he went for the preliminary chat and was told it is painful unless you pay extra for the anesthetic ceam, which costs a hell of a lot,and the treatment itself costs about £120 per session. Now it depends how many sessions you require as peoples skin reacts differently. His mum was told that it will probably be around 12 sessions, but could be more. He will not be getting any xmas or birthday presents for sometime i am led to believe. I will let you know how it is going and the costs thus far,in due course.
  23. It sums up my mood much better than the smiley i had previous.
  24. I am not overly convinced by this, but football is about opinions and i respect yours like i do others.
  25. All i'm asking for is good performances from a talented, expensively formed,(for this league) and according to some, be it delivered by our 'we are lucky too have' manager.
