Ok,from the Sun "newspaper"......... SOUTHAMPTON could take a step closer to bankruptcy this week - and non-League football. Matt Le Tissier's consortium will lose their deposit of £500,000 if they do not agree a takeover by Friday. If League One Saints then go bust the best they can hope for is a place in the Blue Square Premier. A Blue Square spokesman said: "In principle we have no objection to Southampton joining the Premier." Just to remind us of what possibly is at stake if it goes tits up.have a good day

Now ain't that the truth.

My thoughts exactly. I believe the appointment would be greated with "ok it's Tisdale, not bad" With the possible new era on the horizon, and if we have the funds,we really should go for someone who will really create a buzz and get backsides on seats. I would be surprised if Keegan is in the frame,i'd settle for Ince however. Dowie really dosen't inspire me at all. Calderwood did well at Aberdeen.
-
Is there anyone else on here that thinks Tisdale would be the wrong choice?

Been on the national lottery programme in the early days. Been on the front of numerous daily national papers the day after the Mandela gig(the one after he was released and he gave a speech)i was right down the front and my face was plastered across the papers. Im on a picture disc of Skid Row. Had a beer with slash at London zoo, which again made the papers, the bizzare section of the Sun. I won't bore you with more.

Having just watched Murray dispatch Blake with ease in the final at Queens club,i will be honest i don't particularly warm to Murray, i think he really does have what it take to become Wimbledon champion. I liked Henman and even though he never quite had what it takes when it came to the "big crunch" match it was great entertainment and well worth the admission price to see him play. But i will, through gritted teeth i might add, really hope that we get a British champion atlast. I think The Wimbledon championship is the best on the tour,Tennis on grass, where it belongs, imo.

Ok, i know we are now just a league one side but i am just a tad staggered that once again there appears to be no info/guesswork/rumours in the sunday papers, nor has there for what seems an age. Does this mean.. A) not a soul really gives a toss, not news worthy etc.... B) not one journo or pundit, besides the people involved, actually know anything... They appear not even bothered to make stuff up,for a change. Or is the deal being done the "correct" way and it's so watertight that it has'nt sprung any "leaks".
