  1. Must admit, when asked about him Wotte wasn't too negative about getting him back in and admitted JPS liked it here. Does anyone know how his club's relegation battle went and whether he may be back?! A good, strong acquisition for League One I feel.
  2. That statement fills me with glee, makes me shimmy, moonwalk and dance a merry jig. In fact, I had to stop and pour myself a large gin and tonic such was the good feeling of that rather excellent post! :smt039
  3. Wooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope we get some new female visitors to St Mary's!
  4. To be fair, your antagonistic manner of posting & outlandish opinions hardly puts you in pole position to pontificate and sanctimoniously deride others! I'm sure your avatar was chosen to compliment your often barbed comments) When in Rome....
  5. Incidently, How many times can we hear the word "virtually" and "almost" FFS. SORT IT, ANNOUNCE IT!! Mind you, it is the Echo.
  6. Sticking to the positive and the facts, don't get influenced by this insidious Harris talk and Worldwide financial b*llocks 11th hour cr*p and blatant lies on this forum and in our local rag. According to more credible sources than the Echo (South today, Solent and reporters that had heard directly from Fry last night) nothing has changed since the news the deal was done late last night. We should have new owners announced very shortly. To dignify this 11th hour sulky paper talk from Seymour Butts with a response: I question this Harris backed group and their priorities if they're whining to the media & talking of offering more money in a disgraceful attempt to destabilize and gazump what seems a rock solid and prosperous bid for our club. We have a bid which is reported to be signed, sealed and soon to be delivered. It involves well respected, competent and successful Swiss/German backers (The Liebherr family - namely Markus) who have conducted themselves discretely, with little fuss, in a dignified and professional manner. On the other hand, we have the British businessmen rocking the cart, unable to tolerate losing face, sulking and b*tching and doing their best to gazump the current bid and create potential problems at St Mary's. In a word - W*NKERS!! Obviously, they're all about the Football Club eh?! Let's keep the thread in the vein of good feeling and ignore these insidious little t*ssers who have spat (and drop kicked) their dummy all because they haven't got their own way. After all, it's not as though Harris and co have not been aware of the club's desperation to find a buyer. I also question who may be involved with Harris' group. Still... Move along please, nothing to see here! Oh, and as a polite request to keep the thread positive and about nice, happy things (me included), let's try and refrain from the words "Lowe, Askham, Wilde, Hone, Dulieu, etc." (in fact, most past board members and shady share holders!) Parasites will suffice. COYS - Let's get this deal announced, a few choice players in and a new coaching set-up (with hopefully a new manager & Wotte reverting back to the academy)...we need it! Oh, and to cheer you up (as I inferred to keep the faith)... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4481187.Swiss_deal_virtually_complete/
  7. Exactly but if Harris is anything like Lowe, they don't like to be outdone and don't always do things "by the book". I sincerely hope all is completed as reported last night and Markus Liebher is announced as out new owner asap. This Worldwide Financial Group worry me greatly and who may be involved with them. They got beaten by the Swiss (who have seemingly acted professionally and discretely) and the Swiss had already been messed around due to those wasters Pinnacle. Let's hope Fry isn't playing the gazump card or I will personally track him down myself and utilise my very unique, particular set of skills!
  8. Be positive for a change. The deal is done *prays to not be proved wrong like with the Pinnacle fiasco* and it's a case of arranging announcements and tidying everything up, etc. They may be waiting on Mr Liebherr to organise things his end (he seems a busy man!) I do worry who is involved with Harris and laugh at their whinging. FFS. Complain to the football league? About what, you t*ssers? Sour grapes? Losing/Being beaten to the deal?! It's tough sh*t! You had long enough. The administrator decides the best deal, not them. T*ssers! All these British businessmen involved in bids for our club have been found wanting. F*ckwits! They all wanna be top dog although I'd be dubious of Harris, being formerly associated with Rupert Lowe (despite their grievances!) The Echo article is laughable - Seymour Pierce & Harris bleating on to the media outlets cos they had money ready in a bank account, had proved funds and couldn't get hold of Mark Fry. BOOO HOOOO!!!! TOUGH SH*T! Life doesn't always go your way and you don't always get what you want. Deal with it. Tw*ts!
  9. Good man! No more Lowe this, Lowe that, Wilde did this. It's a bright new dawn. Put the past behind us and look towards the sunrise. Good times are a coming, I feel so positive tonight. It's how we react and begin this new season that will set the precedent. We need to be firing from the starting blocks on all cylinders! COYS. ::smt038:smt038:smt038
  10. Well, not one to tempt fate but I think we can rest assured tomorrow morning will confirm the good news most of us have been tearing our hair out to hear - our club has not died, the disastrous decade is behind us and we can look forwards towards a bright new dawn thanks to the faith of our new owner - Markus Liebherr. I have no idea on the management ideas, level of funding and set-up they plan to install but i have faith these intelligent business people will do the right thing for our once great club and bring back some joy to the hallowed faces of the forlorn Saints fans. The tide has turned. As just confirmed (further to the more prepared reports tomorrow morning) by South today and Tony Husband, our club looks to have finally found a new owner. Let's get right behind the Swiss (of German descent) and roar our club to great things once again, starting with a feel good thread. What are you views? I am relieved. A bit too ground down and mentally shattered to start dancing a jig but I am quietly confident we finally have some good, solid foundation to push from, COMPETENT leaders (probably a new management team assigned to SFC operations with football/sport business knowledge) and financial muscle to help propel us onwards and upwards, driving us to success. COME ON YOU SAINTS! Season tickets, Tickets, Support. Hopefully some wise transfers, Good Crowds for League One and we're soon be back in the Championship. New songs, Happy times and a feel good, thriving fan community roaring the team on to many victories. YAYYYY!!!! What are your emotions? It's been a roller coaster, unbelievable on most occasions but we, Saints fans, sooooo deserve this good fortune. Let the good times roll...
  11. South Today announced it, all tied up in the morning but seems it's in the bag. Tony Husband reporting from Totton. FINALLY we are there! TFFT.
  12. Just showed it on South Today from Totton. Saying about Marcus Liebherr and pictures, Tony Husband reporting. WOOO!!!!
  13. Equality and all....let the women do it!
  14. If someone would give him a good kick first few mins and put him out of the game... Bring back Imant Bleidelis! What a mark he made. Of course, it wasn't just to keep Marian company! I don't think I ever saw him play...3 seasons and he apparently only ever played...twice! Good bit of business that.
  15. I hope something hurries up. Stern still lingering or is he off to Palace? Davis with West Ham too. Hope something can happen TODAY! (how many times can we be told "today is the day!" FFS)
  16. Not to add to the obsessed rants but I do truly believe our past chairmen left us tied up in paperwork and complex issues so it was not easy, drawn out and complicated for the club to be taken over. Reason, to possibly keep them in power and keep a tight control of the club. Hence why it had been so hard to remove the parasites. After all, what other explanation is there for a club having "so much potential" yet most investors not touching us (disregarding the dross & the perpetual tyre kickers?! FFS Tha Skates can even attract interest and how long were we in the Premier League?!) There is definitely "issues" and some skeletons in the closet but NDAs will probably ensure this "sensitive information" (as mentioned by Fry) never sees the light of day. I just want closure as this really is torture. I feel like I want to give up and move on, but I cannot. ARGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Strange idea for a thread, possibly riddiculing people taking over the club before in place. Not the wisest idea.
  18. He's clearly trying to maintain his integrity which, imho, I thought a administrator would not be fussed about. They're generally uncompromising, hard nosed types with a nose for a deal and little patience (or time) to mess about. His name has been questioned due to the Pinnacle debacle so maybe it's PR words to save face. Overall, get the Swiss in. Glad to see the Batchelor gaggle of idiots are a distant 3rd but Echo reporting can't be relied upon. Solent gave a more substantial explanation about the Swiss family and which branch it "may be" but corrected the Daily Mail for getting the wrong members, it's apparently their offspring involved. I think *touch wood* it's good news seeing as Davis is lingering, Stern is back, trialists in and Wotte staying on. That seems to suggest players know a little more about the future than anyone has let on.
  19. Dunno but at least it upset some of those dirty Skates!! There was they thinking they were due all the good fortune. Not one to tempt fate but it would be funny if their takeover failed, along with their mounting debts and quality player exodus, whilst we finally turned the corner but...it's Saints so easier to believe the good bid will get trumped by some t*ssers involved with Lowe, esq. *falls onto knees and prays to be wrong* http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=156421
  20. Yes, that's right! When Lowe had a hissy fit in front of Prince Charles cos he couldn't manipulate Harris well enough to line up a naive buyer of his shares who would also be stupid enough to devote his allegiance to the failed chairman. Surely there must be some Lowe sympathisers out there? Enough on this forum, despite his path of destruction and unmitigated failure and poorly orchestrated media blunders. Reading between the lines, Lowe had offers for his shares but from people in the "real world" who couldn't be manipulated into buying shares yet proxying them to that clueless idiot. http://archive.dailyecho.co.uk/2007/4/4/113038.html Anyway, I pray "he" is nothing to do with the Harris bid and the Swiss triumph. I'm sure we've all had enough of "his" name on this forum and I'd be more than happy to put that clueless idiot behind us and forget our darkest days and the dark cloud that shadowed the majority of his decisions. The club needs to move onwards and upwards. Too long have we been held back by unscrupulous & incompetent businessmen with their own interests superseding that of the club. We need ambition, integrity & foresight...coupled with some care for the community and good old fashioned common sense. Not a lot to ask!
  21. Or even a ticket on the window (apologies if someone beat me to that but too many bloody pages already!)
  22. Or the looks on the mechanic's face as you rumbled into Micheldever for a set of new rears!!
  23. Not sure as I understood Glen has been working with a deal from Dubai for the past 6 months. Bet that makes you happy eh?! Whether it comes to fruitition or not, time will tell.
