  1. A bright new new dawn and a fresh new start breeds optimism, don't cha know?! Not wishing to drag up past failures but our past leaders couldn't have made worse decisions and virtually destroyed our club through a long running series of ridiculous decisions and pathetic appointments destined to fail from the onset. So, all the cynicism emanating from their tenure is thoroughly deserved.
  2. Well said. Long term success is about the proper planning and not running before you can walk...or even shoot straight!
  3. Mark Viduka! HCDAJFU ;o)
  4. Why bring his name up?! The guy hadn't a clue about Football and is a complete, clueless w*nker! Look at the remnants of his disasterous tenures?! Move on old boy! He's history!! Time for some level headed businessmen and football people to have a go... Time marches on! (much like The Saints!)
  5. What, players like Leroy Lita?! Been released from Reading since May, not been snapped up yet, so by your theory he's crap and on the scrap heap of unwanted footballers?! Not according to Middlesborough or Leicester! Just cos players have been released it doesn't make them poor quality players. It just means they've refused (if offered) to sign a new contract and have subsequently been released, they weren't offered a new contract or they couldn't agree a new contract. Or, they've held out for a Bosman free so they can get a big signing on fee.
  6. I think that's just shrewd business sense. Pick up suitable players for free (why pay if there are perfectly adequate players out of contract?) and, if there aren't out of contract players in the positiosn Pardew requires, then he has financial backing to bring those players in. Simple and sensible really!
  7. Surely that's an Oxymoron - Ginger haired and tanned - it just doesn't happen! LOL Cheers for the updates!
  8. No, Duncan has, as is often the case, exactly the same viewpoint. Strachan would be good, Pardew also good. I'm hopeful a wise appointment will be made.
  9. So's Garry Glitter but let's not lower the tone....
  10. Just seen my school boy errror....OOPS! That explains *kicks own butt* Many Happy Returns old bean!
  11. Happy Birthday 70s Mike but I'm confused?! If you're 40, shouldn't it be 1969 Mike? 69 DUDE!!!!!

  13. Careful, they're already getting choppy and they may snap and end up smashing up the local paediatrics unit at The QA! Saying that, they probably need that release with all their best players being sold off. Oh happy days!!
  14. I used to work with her. Cathy. Nice girl but a bit dirty, big hooters!
  15. I have just mentioned this on another thread but how about Jamie Redknapp? Has he been mentioned at all? (I haven't time to check all the threads!) FWIW, I think he'll make a very good manager one day and he's certainly a bright prospect, if he wants to go into football management. He talks a good game. People will jump on the "Skate" bandwagon (cos of his old man) but you can't blame Harry. Lowe f*cks off the best of people and I don't hold anything against either. Jamie may be comfortable with his Sky pundit work (he's doing well for himself, tenancious as he may be) but this could be a very good opportunity for him to get into management, with a solid coaching team behind him. Certainly with a foundation for the future. He knows the club (having played for us) and location wise it must be good for him. I think he could be a good contender. I still think WGS is a serious contender and pondering on what is a big decision for him personally. The Staplewood back story is clearly rubbish to put people off scent, imho.

  17. They're the t*ssers!! The group that "apparently" should care about the club and our future if they were a consortium of any worth. YET, they're more worried about their own personal grievances and losing out to one single, extremely wealthy and SUCCESSFUL businessman who can take the club forwards. People that care about the football club should not try and upset the apple cart (i.e. the Liebherr gang) and moan from their own self-serving viewpoint. They should think about the future of the football club..................... All sounds a bit too familiar to me. Seymour Pierce, Harris...who else is involved Keithy? *cough* Yep, large smacks of "in it for yourselves", not the club. Well - UNLUCKY! GOOD RIDDANCE, YOU HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH CHANCE (AND TIME!) now choke on those sour grapes (just like the Aussies) and foxtrot oscar you insidious little free loaders!!
  18. Elton trying to TAKE HIM SOMEWHERE WARM! How rude! LMAO
  19. Very good but...WHO IS THIS "LOWE" CHARACTER YOU ALL KEEP GOING ON ABOUT??? :smt039
  20. WOW! A thread talking about...FOOTBALL (on TSW too!). Who'd have thought?! SUPERB!! I love all the transfer talk and it's exciting to consider we can actually bring in players we need, rather than accepting the bottom of the barrell and injured loans no-one wants (much like last season!) whilst playing largely inadequate kids!
  21. Fantastic news and just proves yet another b*llsh*tter adding to the rumours about Davis going to West Ham, some claiming he was at the Totton game when he's not been in attendance, etc. Brilliant news. I can't cope with this and wonder how other Saints fan may struggle with this bizarre shift of fortune. That's more good news in 2 days than we've had in the last 10-15 years!
  22. I think I'll be making an appearance. Hope it doesn't rain! Looks likely. :fball:
  23. We'll be back. It may take time but a feel good feeling performances, some coaching staff appointments to make a difference and a few shrewd signings (I hope Murty plays well and can join as he could be just what we need!) and even a new manager or a well known fan favourite returning (Matty Le Tiss, who knows?! Oldknow's been chatting with him) and St Mary's will suddenly become a vibrant sanctuary of harmony...we can wish! I'm soooo happy today. Let the good times roll. See you @ Bournemouth Saturday!
  24. LMAO Well, it coudln't go to smoothly or it wouldn't be TSW. haha I had heard negative reports but thought he came across well on the news and I'm willing to put the past behind us and blame it on that t*sser Jim Hone. Just please do NOT bring him back.
  25. Well put. He had the most impossible job and, whilst I'm not bowled over by him tactically and his choice of players he deems good, I think he's acted with extreme professionalism in dire circumstances and deserves a chance on a level playing field (i.e. a pre-season, a new start, hopefully some transfer budget and chance to add to the squad where he feels the need, giving him a chance to show us how he'd like to run the team with the support he needs). Worth a shot. If not, the new gang can settle in, converse, plan and bring in some well suited manager to really drive the club forward.
