I think you may need to read it in context. Your wife, as did mine, choose to stay at home when the kids were very young. You didn't leave your kids in a nursery for 10 hours a day. My youngest goes to nursery 3 1/2 days a week and my wife works. Daughter loves going and we are very happy with the nursery. However, dumping your kids for 10hrs at a time strikes me, and it is only my opinion, as very poor parenting. My wife changed her career and took a big drop in salary to be with our kids in their early years. Our kids weren't a lifestyle choice.
