He got away with so many a couple of season ago. There was a blatant one right in front of the Ref and I couldn't believe that he was still on the pitch. I remember watching games and thinking, give it two seasons and he'll be gifting penalties and picking up 1 or 2 red cards.

Ultimately, running any business is a balancing act. However, I get the impression that there's some people taking out as much as they can as quickly as possible. I'm beginning to think that the 5 year plan was to get rich quickly. If so, they're doing a very good job.

Perhaps our's isn't either, but for different reasons... Spend too much, end up in the **** financially. / Don't invest, fail to compete with your rivals. Risk relegation and potentially end up in the **** financially. Just a thought.

After tonight's performance and more ****ing nonsense from Les Reed I really couldn't give a toss about this signing. Hope he proves me wrong but 5 goals in 19 games suggests that he's about as good as Long, Redmond and J-Rod. With Puel's rotation system I can't see him banging them in week after week.

Yep. Shame it's taking some fans so long to realise. You'd have thought that the constant selling of players, appointing clueless Puel with his one dimensional tactics and seeing the way we now play football would have made people realise. Clearly not. Some people are easily misled.

Dare I say it, I wouldn't even have him here for the final. He certainly brought himself some time by somehow getting us there, but I honestly believe our best chance of beating Utd involves a new manager who can breath some life and creativity into the team and try and finish the season on a positive note and avoid a relegation battle. Should we end up down there I don't see Puel being the man to dig us out. Not when we're unable to beat the bottom teams.

I've always thought that Long needs too many chances to score but Redmond makes him look prolific.

I'm no fan of the silly money that's banded around but it's the way the game's gone. You can try and fight it but the reality is that if you want to compete you have to splash the cash. It's the same when it comes to wages. If you're not prepared to pay what others will then you've not got a hope in hell of signing the player. I'm not condoning it, just saying that's how it is these days.

There's Championship clubs spending £10 - £15m on players these days. £20m for average Premiership players is a sign of the times. At some point we're just going to have to start coughing up if we want to compete with our rivals. I could understand us not wanting to pay big money if we were strapped for cash, but we're not.

Exactly! Liverpool said they were only interested in selling when we enquired about a loan. Now he's going on loan to CP. Just seen a report that Les is trying to sign Ake for £18m. Sounds like bull**** to me.
