  1. I don't think we'll be anywhere near 7th. Just look at the teams who've qualified for the Europa League in the past. All of them have suffered a severe dip in form in the Prem. Add in the loss of Clyne, Toby and probably Morgan and we're facing a real challenge. Yes, we'll sign replacements but we're talking about replacing the best RB in England and one of best centre backs and midfielders in Europe. I really don't see us finishing in the top half this time.
  2. We did incredibly well to achieve what we did last season after so many departures, however, I honestly believe it'll be a different story this year. Clyne, Toby & Morgan will be a far greater loss than Lovren, Lallana and Lambert. Add in the injuries to Forster and Bertrand and I think we've got a real problem. I know there's going to be some new additions but the chance of replacing and improving for a second term is very slim.
  3. Just spoke to a couple of the Mrs' family in Holland. There seems to be a real air of confusion as to how Martina has achieved a move to Saints. Nobody seems to have a decent word to say about him. He really is considered as a bit of a joke. I was also told that the Dutch papers are saying that RK wants 'Ron Beton' (Concrete Ron Vlaar). I guess that's just the press speculating as Koeman expressed an interest last year.
  4. Firstly, I'm not your 'Pal'. Secondly, people are bound to say more at this time of the year as there's this thing called the transfer window and it generates quite a lot of press and general interest and excitement.
  5. What? 50 bits of inside information??? I don't think so. What is the ****ing problem with this forum? We all follow the same team yet the majority of people on here just seem intent on starting arguments with people who they don't know.
  6. When did I ever say I had a source at every club??? Nothing like blowing things out of proportion is there??? For the record, I did know a director at Saints - He's not there now. I know a coach who works for Fulham and used to be at Liverpool. I also know his brother who is head of nutrition at Man City. A good friend works in the press office at WHL and I know ex-manager, Dave Bassett. Hope that makes things a little clearer for you?
  7. What are you talking about you moron? When have I posted 'regular' inside scoops? I've probably posted less than 10 comments on here in the last 6 months.
  8. Funny how that's also being reported in certain sections of the press so he's probably just read the same thing as me and is trying to make out that he has some inside information. :-/
  9. Just had a call from a Spurs fan who works at WHL. He says the deal is definitely done and that we're getting the £1.5m plus further compensation.
  10. I heard that last night but assumed it was someone just taking the ****.
  11. Personally I think we can forget about Toby. So the question is. Who should we get to replace him & Morgan? Very tough acts to follow.
  12. £10m rising to £12.5. He's signing tomorrow.
  13. We'll end up with a couple more Dutch players as replacements for Morgan & Toby, neither of whom will be nearly as good. :-/
  14. Is he really bettering himself? I don't think Lallana, Lovren & Lambert bettered themselves by moving to Liverpool. I can understand Lambert going there as it was a boyhood dream and he was past his best but the other two have seen their careers stall by going to Liverpool. Sky did a feature on how Liverpool will line up next season & there was no place in the starting 11 for any of the 3 Saints players who joined last season. It's a classic example of big fish in a small pond or small fish in a big pond. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
  15. Did anyone else see Sky's feature on how Liverpool are most likely to line-up next season? There was no place for Lovren, Lambert of Lallana in the starting 11. This alone should be a warning to the likes of Clyne that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
  16. Spot on. He did nothing at Hull to suggest that he wanted to make a go of things there or at any other potential club.
  17. We're the club that said, 'Our ambition is to have a team of homegrown English players playing European football'. That vision seems a million miles away now.
  18. A Liverpool supporting friend claims that we're looking at taking Lambert back as part of the Clyne deal. Has anybody else heard this or is it just a load of speculative bull****? Personally I wouldn't mind him coming back as I think he could still do a job for us, particularly as we're going to need some depth to the squad with the additional European fixtures next season.
  19. Greedy *****. You'd have thought that seeing 3 team mates go there and do nothing to enhance their careers would be enough to make him think twice. Oh no. Not these days.
  20. I'm going for Leicester away. There's a rumour that Man City will play Chelsea on the opening day & Man U have got Bournemouth.
  21. Same here. Wanted us to have a green away kit for years and now we've got one so I'm happy.
  22. Love it. Best away kit since 1984.
  23. Thank god for that. I'd have been gutted if we'd paid £5m for him.
  24. Just get Rickie back on a free. Ideal squad player if we're playing in Europe.
  25. I spent the day with Sony, yesterday. They've something that's due to launch in July. I have to say, I was very impressed. Effectively it's a pair of sports headphones with 16Gb of storage and it syncs to your phone. It measures heart rate etc. just like all these products do but has plenty of programmes to choose from and a few nice touches like the ability to automatically select and pace the music to the speed of your workout. http://smartsports.sony.net/b-trainer/event.html#
