  1. I'm with Alpine on this. I wasn't a huge Adkins fan but he was starting to prove the doubters wrong. The result at Chelsea is a prime example and I was more than happy to eat a huge slice of humble pie after that. He deserved to be given the season at least. This is the final straw for me. I'm sick of all the crap that surrounds football these days. Particularly Premiership football. I've spent most of the season following my local non-league team, Chester FC. A club that went bump and is now owned by the fans. It's such a refreshing change to the Premier****e. Sensible ticket prices. No egotistical Chairman etc. Thanks for all the banter over the years folks. I'm voting with my feet on this one. A decision that many of you will slate me for but I'm beyond caring.
  2. **** off Potty. You're not wanted here.
  3. Got slated for saying this at the start of the season. Funny how many people now want him out!
  4. The man is an idiot whether he hires him or not.
  5. Completely unexpected. More than happy to eat my words about Adkins and his tactics. He obviously got it spot on tonight. So pleased to see Chaplow getting a run out as I really believe he has something to offer. I'd certainly be playing him before Davis.
  6. Amazing what a difference Lambert has made. I take back what I said about Nigel's tactics. It looks like he might have done something right for a change. Glad Chaplow is being given a chance. I really believe he gives us something. Certainly a better option than Davis.
  7. 3 more from Chelsea and I'm quids in.
  8. Guly & Davis start and we leave Lambert & Ramirez on the bench. Nice one, Nigel. You really are a clueless ****! People keep going on about how our goalkeepers have cost us points this season but how many points have Nigel's negative tactics cost us?
  9. Let him go and let's make a move for Stephen Warnock.
  10. Absolutely not. Looks like a good player but there isn't enough quality around him to allow him to shine and there probably never will be. If someone offers £12m for him I'd snatch their hand off as I don't think we'll see anything like that for him in the future.
  11. To be perfectly honest I'd not be disappointed if we sold him now and got our money back as I don't think we'll see anywhere near what we paid for him in the future.
  12. The turning point was the return of Cork. Forget all the big money signings, he's been our most important player this season.
  13. He won't come to Saints.
  14. This injury is another shining example of why we should've addressed our defence instead of spending money in less important areas. We knew our 2 CB's were the probably the weakest part of the team when we were promoted and failed to bring in any real quality. We've wasted money on a striker when we had Billy Sharp, who I'm convinced would've done a better job that Mayuka. Lets be honest, Yoshida is only marginally better than what we already had.... And that's being kind. Unless we act very quickly we're about to see our season disappear down the toilet.
  15. Absolutely spot on.
  16. Because we're not as good as the blinkered, daydreamers on this forum would have you believe.
  17. Personally I think we're pretty poor at transfers, full stop!
  18. Always had my concerns when we signed him. I remember saying we'd be lucky to get 1/2 a season out of him. When he picked up an injury I thought we'd be lucky to see him again, fortunately I was proved wrong. However, if this is true then it doesn't inspire confidence. :-/
  19. Exactly. He looks a good player but he's hardly set the world on fire so far. I'd rather have seen the £12m we spent on him used to buy 2 or 3 players. Particularly defenders!
  20. Liverpool will score at least 4 tomorrow. :-(

  22. 2 more points dropped. Won't get anything other than a drubbing at Liverpool. I can see them getting at least 4.

  24. Got to laugh. There's loads of people on here who say that the current home shirt is amongst the worst. Yet the club are still trying to tell us that it's one of the most popular. ********!
