  1. No disrespect but how do you know that? If people thought RL was Premiership quality then why was there not a host of Prem clubs waiting to sign him?
  2. Funny that. People weren't saying that he wasn't good enough when he was rattling in the goals that helped us get back to the Premiership. Confidence plays a huge part in a strikers performance so why not give the lad a go?
  3. After seeing Rickie's fairytale England performance last night I was once again left questioning why Billy Sharp isn't being given a chance in the Prem. He's been written off before anybody's seen if he's able to deliver at this level. Rickie's performance shows that you have to give people a chance. Why are we being linked with players for silly sums of money when we have a striker that could potentially do a job for us? I'm sure plenty of people will say that he's not good enough but in all seriousness how the **** do they know. Nobody's seen him given a chance in the Premiership. Lambert has made the step up from the lower leagues, so why can't Billy do the same?
  4. One of the predictions in the Sunday papers had Saints finishing 9th. Can't remember which paper it was. Personally I think that's ambitious, as it 14th. I think Saints will be involved in a relegation battle all season.
  5. It passed that point years ago. I only watch non league football these days. I simply refuse to pay some of the ludicrous prices being charged these days. Sick of over paid players crying like babies when they fall over and behaving like complete ****s off the field. Football's become a joke.
  6. We're not a million miles away from Utd in the midfield dept. Sadly we're a long way off having anything that can rival their defence or the firepower they have up front. :-/
  7. Let him go. I still don't understand why Saints ever signed him. I'd rather see Sharp given a chance in the Prem.
  8. Absolutely no chance. Saints are a very long way off European football.
  9. Exactly. It's never their fault. I hate Liverpool because they got the rules of the Champions league changed so that they could still compete in it. They didn't qualify through the normal channels because they were **** but cried like babies until the rules were changed to allow the current holders a place in the following seasons competition.
  10. I still don't understand why we're not in the race for Bent. I'd have thought he could do a job for us and for reasonable money. One thing's for sure. We desperately need to strengthen up front.
  11. £15m is a joke. A couple of clubs have shown an interest and offered about £6m but they've been told to come back with offers above £8m to trigger the release clause in his contract. Would £15m not be better spent trying to land Lukaku from Chelsea?
  12. I don't think we'll be relegated simply because there's definitely 3 worse teams than Saints in the league. However, I don't see us finishing in the top 10 and I'll be surprised if we finish above where we did last season. Our defence still concerns me as does our lack of firepower. I don't understand why we've not made a move for a proven goalscorer like Bent. He's available for sensible money and will always score goals.
  13. I see Roma have just announced that he's staying.
  14. I still don't understand why NC didn't just give us a striped shirt. He keeps bleating on about creating a positive vibe in all sections of the club so why not give the fans what they want... Or does he not regard the fans as an important part of the club? Would it really have been too much to ask?
  15. Personally I can't see Saint being top 10 at the end of Sept.
  16. So Saints had a £5m bid rejected but a Championship club managed my Harry Redknapp have their offer accepted. Clearly something dodgy has gone on. How does he keep getting away with it?
  17. The last time I saw Saints score 8 was in a pre-season friendly in Sweden back in 2004. They went on the get relegated that season.
  18. You can buy it now for about £13.00 if you want it without the Saints badge and sponsors logo. It's identical to the Adidas Campeon. Seriously, £37.00 for a badge and a logo... Having a laugh.
  19. We had a CB. A very highly rated one who we paid a fair amount for, never played and sold back to the club he came from. :-/
  20. Said it before and I'll say it again. I sense trouble with Wanyama. Surely he's not the only target?
  21. Dowie/Hurlock. Wanyama/Damiao. There's a pattern developing. ;-)
  22. Currently watching Forest v Saints 26.03.83. Saints went 1-0 down but came back to win 2-1 with a wonder strike from Danny Wallace. A result that lifted them to 5th in the table. :-)
  23. My advice would be to rip them to a higher quality than mp3. If you rip straight to mp3 all the quality has gone and there's no getting it back. However, if you rip to a lossless format like FLAC then you've got a high quality format on your hard drive that you can the create a mp3 from easily. Sonos is the best value for money system on the market. Reliable, well supported by their superb online technical dept and has music streaming services such as Spotify natively built in. The streaming systems from the likes of Linn, Naim and Cyrus are far superior but not cheap. To be honest, it's not worth buying anything above Sonos if you only intend on streaming mp3.
  24. Just typed Kenyan into Google translate. The result said 'Trouble'.
