Oh come on! You only had to look at the fixtures the day they were released to realise that we were always going to be up against it. I took one look at it and said we'd be on 0pts after 6 games with Wigan at home our only hope of picking up points. Even the eternal optimist would have said we'd be lucky to have 6 pts after 6 games. I hardly think NC will have looked at the fixture list, rubbed his hands together and said 'great, these fixtures are perfect for getting rid of Nigel. I won't need to come up with some elaborate story like I did when I got rid of Pardew'.

Give the guy some time although my gut instinct is that he won't be able to hack it in the Prem. love him to prove me wrong but have my concerns.

Well we copied liverpool's kit so copying one of their songs shouldn't really be an issue.

True. Merson is a tit but I can kind of see where he's coming from. It's a lot of money and a huge risk as there were other parts of the squad that desperately needed attention. If GR struggles to fit in or can't settle here then we're gonna look a bit silly.

Not missed a home game since 2004. I do a round trip of about 450 miles to watch the home games. Sometimes I drive, other times I fly. Given the amount I spend with the club I think I'm entitled to have an opinion.

Wake up. There's been league two strikers who've scored against the premier league champions. The trick is to do it every week and I don't see him doing it at this level. Top premiership defenders will have him well worked out.

How many times have we had our fingers burned with unknown foreign players who can't settle or simply don't perform and turn out to be tempramental? Watch this space. I see see another Augustin Delgado amongst this lot. When did Saints ever spend big money and get good value? £4m for Rory Delap. £3.2m for Delgado. Now £7m for J-Rod and £12m for Ramierez. I'll bet you a cheese sandwich that neither work out.

No! People need to be realistic. We've not got what's needed to stay in this league and we've failed to land the sort of players that are needed to survive the first season or two at this level.
