  1. Not missed a home game since 2004. I do a round trip of about 450 miles to watch the home games. Sometimes I drive, other times I fly. Given the amount I spend with the club I think I'm entitled to have an opinion.
  2. Thanks. So let's get this right. I'm a **** for having an opinion that isn't the same as yours? Well, I guess that makes you a **** too.
  3. I don't like Virgin products. ;-)
  4. Wake up. There's been league two strikers who've scored against the premier league champions. The trick is to do it every week and I don't see him doing it at this level. Top premiership defenders will have him well worked out.
  5. How many times have we had our fingers burned with unknown foreign players who can't settle or simply don't perform and turn out to be tempramental? Watch this space. I see see another Augustin Delgado amongst this lot. When did Saints ever spend big money and get good value? £4m for Rory Delap. £3.2m for Delgado. Now £7m for J-Rod and £12m for Ramierez. I'll bet you a cheese sandwich that neither work out.
  6. Every home game. Lambert is not a premiership striker. Fact!
  7. No! People need to be realistic. We've not got what's needed to stay in this league and we've failed to land the sort of players that are needed to survive the first season or two at this level.
  8. Ok, Lallana but Lambert at this level???
  9. Ramirez, Makuda, Yoshida. No premiership experience between them. I see every one as a major gamble. I'd rather have seen us go for the likes of Phillips, Ince, Owen, Berbatov, Curtis Davies, Dann, Benayoun or Adam. All of who know what this league is all about. We sould've got a Keeper too. Robinson, Gordon etc. there's far Better keepers than the distinctly average ones we have.
  10. What star players? Most of our squad is average at this level. Anybody moving would only be going sideways to a similar sized club as we don't have anybody good enough to be on the radar of the top premiership clubs. How much we've spent is irrelevant. How many times have we seen the likes of Sunderland spend millions and still struggle? We've broken the transfer record because players are over priced and sadly that's what you have to pay. It bears no reflection on the quality of what you get. For example, We payed £7m for J-Rod and Berbatov has just gone to Fulham for £4m. I know which of those players I'd rather have seen in a saints shirt. Ok, you might only get 2 seasons out of Berba, but it's about survival at the moment. Yes, we've signed one of Europes most wanted but one man doesn't make a team. What happens if he gets injured. What have we got then? Nothing, because we spent everything on one man instead of adding quality and depth.
  11. Sums things up pretty well. We needed an experienced CB. Now is not the time to be taking chances on players like Yoshida.
  12. Not happy. Defence desperately needed attention and has been ignored. We'll pay the price for this. :-(
  13. So, Nigel said he expected a busy few final hours but nothing's materialised. I wonder who he was chasing?
  14. 10. Ramirez. That's all that matters as we're a one man team. ;-)
  15. Had he not been so greedy with his wage demands I'm sure he could've got premiership football somewhere.
  16. No, we'd have signed a proven goalscorer in this league and somebody who our younger players could learn a lot from.
  17. He's gone to WHU on loan for the season. I'd have much rather had him & Carroll on loan for a year than the players we've signed.
  18. The english marian pahars. :-)
  19. He lives not far from me. The word here was that he favoured a move to a club nearer home. Stoke & Everton being the two mentioned. However, he said that if a move to either wasn't possible then he'd consider his options elsewhere. He said he'd sign for somebody this week and times running out. I could see it happening.
  20. The last ITK i had was Sharp signing for Forest. I reported it at 6.54 after getting a text from Jamie Scowcroft. Posted on here as soon as I heard and then somebody claimed he broke the news about 2 hours later. Mug.
  21. The only name that was mentioned that I got excited about was Benayoun but I don't see that happening. What's happened with Dann and Davies? Earlier in the week we were linked with both CB's. I'd have liked to have seen at least one of them. Not sure about Yoshida at all.
  22. Said on Facebook a couple of hours ago that the only way I'd change my mind about sharp leaving was if we signed Owen. Good experience at Prem level and a great player to have around the younger members of the squad.
  23. Is the OP taking the ****? I genuinely don't think we have a squad capable of staying in the Prem. Our defence is **** poor and should've been the area we concentrated on. I'm not struck with any of our signings.
  24. Here we go again. The *****es are at it once more. Now, where's the block option?
