Well to be fair it sounds like that job is a bit of a sham. I can understand not taking that job at this stage as clearly they just want someone to be a cheerleader for this terrible deal but if he knows he can't support this deal, how can he possibly stay in the cabinet?

I can't be annoyed at someone who states an honest opinion. If you don't care about sovereignty then that's fair enough at least it's a sincerely held belief I just fundamentally disagree.

To be fair we have some cracking options now. Sancho, lingard, kane, Ali, sterling, rashford, Loftus-cheek, barkley and possibly foden in a year or two. There can't be many better attacking lineups in international football.

Agreed and with respect, desiring a United States of Europe would undoubtedly be a minority view in this country.

Even the people who don't want to leave realise that they want a united States of Europe. To some people that doesn't seem to matter but it certainly matters to me. We've massively screwed up brexit so now my hope is on the latest European elections or the populists governments joining forces and trying to change the direction. Anyone pro EU on here can't tell me that whenever they see the smug faces of juncker or verhofstadt openly laughing at the idea of democracy or the idea of independent nation states they don't feel very depressed.

It's not going to be that choice and everyone knows it. The EU leaders were floating about it today. They know that we aren't going to opt for no deal so it's going to be this awful deal that gives them everything they wanted or we are going to end up grovelling to stay in which they will obviously accept. Just like every other vote that the public have on EU treaties etc it will be ignored or the public will be made to vote again. The great EU project seemingly cannot be stopped via democratic means, I'll just have to hope that it's upended by the European elections but even that is unlikely.

I think anyone who is punished for a crime that they are subsequently found not guilty of has been hard done by. It appears that you would have to agree with them politically or think they are a nice person before you think they are hard done by.

Does anyone really listen to anything she says? She's talked a load of uninspiring bollards for two years. She completely contradicted her previous statements with the chequers deal. No one should trust a single word she says. Had she been honest of her intentions at the stay of the process then she would have been out much earlier.
