  1. No one should be writing him off but anyone is perfectly entitled to give initial reactions. My thoughts are he doesn't look particularly impressive on first viewing but he may have some attributes we need. Happy to see how he does with us but I won't be getting overly excited about this signing.
  2. Have we done that thing again where we try to sign players above our station and get turned down after lengthy negotiations? Fair enough if we do manage to get someone decent over the line but this has shades of last January at the moment. I really really hope we have some backup options and we don't leave it too late...
  3. Well there seems to be consensus in this thread. A rare thing on here!
  4. It's going to be a deadline day mosh pit. I can see it now...
  5. I think it's fairly clear because he was a black man and a bit of a trailblazer. It's not particularly controversial.
  6. Impressive?? You're easily pleased.
  7. Is it that difficult for you to imagine someone who would know more about the situation than Blackmore? He probably means someone like that.
  8. The problem is it will be too late by then. We have had a few false dawns this season such as the Everton win. U think if we lose to Brighton then really it will show we have learnt very little and I can't see how he can stay.
  9. I'm not sure I agree with that. If we beat Brighton then I will agree.
  10. A draw not to be sniffed out. I still want the manager out.
  11. What relevance does puel doing well with Leicester have to do with judging if he was good with us last year? He could win the league with them, it doesn't "prove you right" at all.
  12. Well Adam has a vested interest in not being too critical of the club. According to him he hasn't lost the players or staff but that's largely irrelevant when the performances have been so poor all season and with no prospect of an upturn in fortunes.
  13. At least we will have tried something. I'd accept relegation if we take some steps to try and stop what is happening. Leaving things as they are at the moment is just irresponsible.
  14. Yeah pretty much this.
  15. Players will make little difference if we keep this manager. Besides, protests will have little to no effect on players. If someone decides to come here then it will be for the money and they will be fully aware of our situation.
  16. Get him in. Please!
  17. Regardless of opinions, there won't be much in the way of protest today unless we start getting hammered. A 1-0 loss with us defending all game will elicit discontented murmurings at best and some half hearted boos at full time. I'm sure Alan perrin and his ilk will be content with that outcome.
  18. All the cool kids are doing the passive thing and supporting the team regardless dontcha know. Never protest, there's a chance that the wider public could find out the strength of feeling regarding our mismanagement. Heaven forfend.
  19. Ha! Haven't replied to you in a few years because obvious troll is obvious but that's pretty amusing. You go to a hell of a lot of effort for this!
  20. Wow. The negative influence of vvd must have really been underestimated. Poor Ralph having to deal with it even though he's left.
  21. Let's be honest, almost every single fan wants the manager sacked. People not calling for his head at this point would amount to a literal handful and quite frankly are deluded. Getting a new manager in at this stage may make no difference at all but we simply have to try something.
  22. It would be very difficult to get worse unless we decide to get an umsworth type character. Almost any vaguely competent manager with a bit of fight about them could keep us up in my opinion.
  23. The average attendance for next year will be in single digits.
  24. Untrue. We have the five pledges on Ralph's desk and winging their way to us in February.
