  1. I'm dubious. I'd like to know how many people literally cannot feed themselves and how many buy expensive gadgets and then plead poverty.
  2. They want to create cheaper places, have "more qualified" staff (though from my experience a qualification doesn't have much to do with being an effective childcare practitioner) and pay the staff more. It's not compatible and won't work unless they turn them into school-lite from the age of two. Which going on the comments of the previous early years minister who loved the French model is exactly what they want. On top of all that, following the Birmingham thing we have been instructed to teach two year olds democracy and the rule of law!
  3. Well the government solution is to move all nurseries into schools which isn't exactly putting the children first. Sadly it would be in the interests of the government to start school readiness from two upwards in schools because it is cheaper and means they are more likely to sit down, shut up and behave in reception. We have two nurseries in schools but it isn't some catch all solution.
  4. I've used this before but it wouldn't work with children's nurseries. We make a modest profit at some nurseries and lose money at others. If we were forced to raise our wages (as they are trying to do to nurseries in Birmingham) then we would have no choice but to raise the amount we charge for children to attend. Even then it would be harder because the two year funded places offered by the government in no way subsidises a full time fee paying child (the payment from the government is small in comparison- there is no such thing as "free" childcare!).
  5. Wtf? It's a fans forum not a court case you weirdo. Are you soft in the head?
  6. Did Adam? Did Rickie? Did Shaw? Did Lovren? The available evidence is that he hasn't signed a new contract which imo speaks volumes and means that we will most likely be saying goodbye to him in the summer (hopefully to be replaced by decent quality like this summer.) you spent the entire summer assuring us there was no evidence that all these players were going to leave and they did didn't they. What will be different about Clyne?
  7. What channel are we on tomorrow?
  8. Looking for an extra Christmas gift for my dad. Any books that someone has read and thinks is a good read? He quite likes historical stuff.
  9. Think he wanted to establish himself in the prem. He has now done that and is England's right back. He will go imo not sure why they is such a controversial thing to say, all the available evidence points to him leaving.
  10. Agree. Jeff speaks for me and if he declares Clyne honourable then I for one believe him.
  11. Or just don't drink alcohol and drive then you are fine.
  12. Don't really have any reason to think he is any more honourable then all those who left last season. I expect him to go in the summer hopefully for loadsa money.
  13. I can see another load of sales in the summer if we aren't careful. May be difficult for lightning to strike twice. I can see us losing Morgan, Clyne, Jay rod, Alderweireld (not our player but you see my point.) possibly Cork as well.
  14. What has that got to do with this tragedy?
  15. Really isn't. Very different from other call of duty games but still fun once you get the hang of it.
  16. Good fun. I'm enjoying it.
  17. No it wasn't. The 80 million was the broadcast money. We added another 115 or whatever it was from sales. I don't think we will spend much in January but we spent precisely none of the money set aside for the summer because all the money we spent we had already made in sales.
  18. Then what's with the swearing and insults?
  19. Guess you are forgetting the sales. Made a large net profit and thus spent very little or none of the 80 million.
  20. How have we not got much of a budget? We got 80 million in the summer and spent none of it.
  21. Innocent until proven guilty?
  22. Absolute nonsense. Going on and on about how boruc was the better keeper. I'm glad we now have the superior keeper in goal.
  23. Forster was brilliant. Suck it.
  24. Very unlucky tonight. Thought it was a decent performance and such a shame that the injury basically cost us a point.
