  1. No it doesn't it's completely different.
  2. Oh dear you didn't read what I said then did you. Where did I say that having someone like levy in charge would mean we wouldn't sell players?
  3. Seems like Dejan is off so seemingly either that tactic hasn't worked or we didn't try it. I can take losing Shaw for the fee and Rickie. I'm unhappy with losing Adam and losing Dejan and Morgan would be shambolic.
  4. You aren't seriously telling me that if the likes of Daniel levy was saints chairman that we would have lost as many players as we have this year? It wouldn't happen. I'm very glad cortese has gone but with regards to the handling of player contracts and this sort of thing, I don't think he would have allowed five players to leave at once in this fashion regardless of our financial situation.
  5. Or amazingly you negotiate with a player. You say unfortunately you aren't for sale right now but if you give us one more year we will let you leave with our blessing. It's what a host of clubs do all the time and it means they avoid the situation of losing all their best players at once.
  6. I think the lack of leadership for five months and seemingly no figurehead st the top unsettled players even before bids had come in. Someone like John Williams IMO would have had a much better chance of persuading certain players to stay even if it's only a short term basis. This would have allowed the situation to be managed much better without looking like a shambolic and like we are a club on the down.
  7. I like this smirking saint a lot
  8. his smugness suggested he was confident there were no links.
  9. I merely posed the question as we have been linked with a few older players. Ffs.
  10. I am aware of that.
  11. Sorry meant smaller! Doh
  12. Hmm hasn't got a great goals record and is quite old again. Change in transfer policy?
  13. In the context of your meeting with Ralph, how do you feel about things at the moment?
  14. Swansea have done well. Kept bony and where they have just lost Davies, are looking to get a player swap as part of it (gylfi is a great player.) if I were saints then Swansea is the model I would follow, especially as they are a smaller club than us.
  15. Koeman is a separate issue. He isn't the club's owner or chairman.
  16. Yep. I expected about three to leave this summer but we should have said to the other wantaways that they can go in January unary or next summer which means we could have handled departures a lot better. The way we have done it makes us appear clueless and weak.
  17. I'd rather not stick my head in the sand and pretend that lovren isn't leaving.
  18. I think we could have put up more of a fight and handled departures a lot better. From a pr perspective we have dreadful, starting from that difficult financial situation comment.
  19. Indeed. Everything is not rosy behind the scenes and the comments from lovren about a lack of leadership weren't good.
  20. I think that's the key point and why many are rightly concerned. We are very likely to lose Morgan and lovren too IMO.
  21. Losing five or six of our best players isn't the athletico or Everton model.
  22. This situation does make you wonder what would have happened if we had just been OK last season instead of brilliantm
  23. Please let us know when we are allowed to express discontent. After Lambert leaves? Lallana? Shaw? Lovren? Schneiderlin?
  24. Eh? What logic is that? He hasn't signed the contract. It's clear we very publicly offered it to him to show we were trying to keep him in the midst of interest from elsewhere.
  25. I agree. Not in anyone's worst predictions would they have imagined that would happen in may, no matter how people try to spin it.
