UK supermarkets are complicit as they drive down the cost price paid to suppliers which makes the UK probably the most marginal of markets. Fine when there's plenty to go around because suppliers can fulfill contracts, but when the supply is disrupted for whatever reason the UK is the lowest priority market especially when European retailers are prepared to pay more for the same produce. Add to that the high costs of energy which has meant it is uneconomic to grow stuff under glass in northern Europe and the fact the UK is not part of a seamless trading area so is more difficult to access as a result and you have the perfect storm.

Yeah I’m not looking to Brexit as a cause but it’s possibly part of the picture. The thing I am conflicted about is why unprecedented weather isn’t impacting other parts of Europe in supermarkets.
-
Anyone been in their local supermarket today? How come shops across Europe are rammed with produce from areas which have allegedly experienced unprecedented weather. Even Northern Ireland has full shelves. Is Brexit the grift that keeps on giving?

I do Ghost Ship in the week. I don't like fizzy soft drinks and anything that is kind of beer like does for me that said I've got some draft Leffe Blond that in my beer machine that I need to finish before it goes off.

My first one was Leeds at the Dell in the Second Division in 63/64 season. Lost 4-1. The beginning of the rise of the Revie team. Leeds promoted with Sunderland, obviously Saints followed a couple of seasons later.

That DT is a bit of a miserable bastard, posts are somewhat reminiscent of the Austrian chocolate addict.

How about Rita, Sue and Bob Too?

I don’t wish ill on anyone and hope he comes through this and picks up his career. When appointed I was on-side even though I felt it was a horror appointment. The scary thing is he seemed to learn absolutely nothing from his experience at Stoke but in that case and in this he was a fish out of water and perhaps should have had the courage of his summer convictions and realised he still wasn’t ready for Premier League management and turned the job down despite the SR overtures. They are seriously culpable in this having massaged Mad Nate’s ego to the point where he sadly came over in the Prem spotlight as being unhinged.
-
Just a shame he didn't seem to have reflected on his time at Stoke.
-
He’d love it!

Whatever it is I genuinely hope things improve for you, can’t do much about hoping SFC improve though.

Only ridden through Treherbert on the Dragon Ride a few years back as it’s at the foot of the Rhigos. The whole ride is so depressing at times. Cwmavon, Pontrydyfren, Cymer, Glynneath and Seven Sisters are bleak places and I say this with a grandmother born in a village up the hill from the first two.

At 3:30 I decided at a goal up against ten men the garage beckoned and off I went for a 20 mile virtual ride across Death Valley safe in the knowledge that even Saints couldn’t fuck this up. There was a nagging feeling as I got to the end, no notifications of a win on my iPad as per most of the season. Shit we’ve drawn against ten men and then I opened the match thread and things got worse.

Didn't know that was allowed on a football pitch in front of so many people including children
-
Could be applied to both. One's a lazy useless front bottom while the other one is a Welsh front bottom!
-
I've heard of a front bottom perhaps they're similar?
-
Must have been one of the few Welsh pro players who never have. Anyway, a win would be better than a defeat so although I have my misgivings it'll be OK by me if he pulls it off. 🤞

Blading Saddles! 😂Actually not as uncomfortable as they look. Padded shorts not padding in saddle.

That's pretty good going. These are my new toys. Sad to think I will do neither the justice they deserve but I'll ride them with a smile on my face. Road bike was only a rolling chassis when pic was taken. Been out on the gravel bike a couple of times, its a hoot.

That was so funny, thanks.

2 up now. Hilarious, couldn’t script it

Cheers, big thanks to everyone who has fed back to those of us to not able to attend.
