  1. The Yorkshire Dales always look nice on All Creatures Great and Small though.
  2. I think in most cases most people are simply mediocre. The thick ones don't aspire upwards towards mediocrity while the clever ones just think they are special.
  3. Can't argue with that basic fact, however large areas of Turkey are pretty inhospitable extensions of the middle east with 60% of the whole country being prone to desertification according to the IPCC.
  4. From the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs "If you or your parent were born on the island of Ireland before 2005, you are an Irish citizen. You can apply for an Irish passport without making an application for citizenship." Take my example. I was a service child. Dad was an electrical engineer in the Fleet Air Arm and stationed at HMS Gannet (RNAS Eglinton) when I was born. It was considered a home posting so my mum went with him. I think they were back in Hampshire less than six months later. My fleeting contact with the island of Ireland makes me an Irish citizen automatically and I do indeed hold both UK and Irish passports as will my daughter when her application goes through. As most of my travel this year will be to EU countries I know which one I'll be using more often than not.
  5. Well if Wrexham 74 is a metaphor for this season we're fucked. On my 16th birthday Saints beat Everton and were 4th in the league. By the time I did my O Levels we were relegated.
  6. Always has to be hope in whatever you are dealing with.
  7. Think Forest was when I gave up the ghost this season. Club needs a re-set. Re Leicester losing Bertrand so early on didnt help but I'm not taking her again
  8. My daughter went to see her first game on a pissing wet October night v Leicester a few years back, thank your lucky stars!
  9. There's a fair bit of anger on here tonight. Id swap it for three points on Saturday.
  10. Trust me its nothing like watching someone with a slow miserable illness.
  11. What do you mean?
  12. Not sure the interweb will take this. I'll piss off, because I cant be arsed any more. Life goes on
  13. He’s a fascist UKIP cunt. Whenever I come across the twat on Twitter that’s always my response. Childish? Yeah!
  14. Has he escaped from his care home?
  15. You really are a rude, objectionable cunt. There is no point discussing anything with you and to have any meaningful discourse.
  16. Very sad, as you say one the voices of football growing up, along with Brian Moore, David Coleman and Barry Davies
  17. Not helped by having no direct sea route between Morocco and UK. One was to be set up between Tangier and Poole and operated by a company called United Seaways and heralded as a 'Brexit buster' route avoiding two sea crossings into and out of the EU and a road journey through Spain and France. It never happened even though Poole Harbour Commissioners announced that it had been set up. Turns out United Seaways really never existed beyond a Gibraltar based shell company. Real failing Graylingesque and you can bet your life one those dirty Tory supporting grifters is making money out it somehow. https://www.phc.co.uk/shipping-link-announced-between-poole-and-morocco/
  18. UK supermarkets are complicit as they drive down the cost price paid to suppliers which makes the UK probably the most marginal of markets. Fine when there's plenty to go around because suppliers can fulfill contracts, but when the supply is disrupted for whatever reason the UK is the lowest priority market especially when European retailers are prepared to pay more for the same produce. Add to that the high costs of energy which has meant it is uneconomic to grow stuff under glass in northern Europe and the fact the UK is not part of a seamless trading area so is more difficult to access as a result and you have the perfect storm.
  19. Yeah I’m not looking to Brexit as a cause but it’s possibly part of the picture. The thing I am conflicted about is why unprecedented weather isn’t impacting other parts of Europe in supermarkets.
  20. Anyone been in their local supermarket today? How come shops across Europe are rammed with produce from areas which have allegedly experienced unprecedented weather. Even Northern Ireland has full shelves. Is Brexit the grift that keeps on giving?

I do Ghost Ship in the week. I don't like fizzy soft drinks and anything that is kind of beer like does for me that said I've got some draft Leffe Blond that in my beer machine that I need to finish before it goes off.
  22. My first one was Leeds at the Dell in the Second Division in 63/64 season. Lost 4-1. The beginning of the rise of the Revie team. Leeds promoted with Sunderland, obviously Saints followed a couple of seasons later.
  23. Comedy gold!
  24. That DT is a bit of a miserable bastard, posts are somewhat reminiscent of the Austrian chocolate addict.
  25. How about Rita, Sue and Bob Too?
