  1. Tory party at play. Off their tits! No wonder KKs budget was all over the place. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/dec/16/traces-of-suspected-cocaine-found-after-parties-in-liz-truss-grace-and-favour-house-say-staff
  2. It's a football message board. Have you ever considered that you are being wound up?
  3. England certainly stepped up to the challenge. The French didn't have to. It was as if England were aspirational while the French already knew. Sign of a very, very good team.
  4. Having lived in Berkshire for the last forty odd years I've always thought of Reading as a 3rd Division club.
  5. So according to a few on here we’re down, so what are our predictions for next season?
  6. What is this 'soccer' you speak of? 😂
  7. Last week I woke up on Tuesday with with a small red mark on my right cheek (face not arse btw). By the following day my face had swollen on the right side and was quite obviously infected. Thought initially it was a bite so contacted my surgery who directed me to NHS 111 who referred me back to the practice. An hour or so later the practice contacted me and asked me to do an e-consult and within the hour i was chatting to the practice paramedic who prescribed antibiotics which I was able to start that day. Follow up appointment with said paramedic the next day and advice if it got worse what to do. Was I lucky? I don't know, but why should the level of service be so variable?
  8. Next thing you'll be telling me is that climate change isn't real.
  9. Ah that’d be it then.
  10. Swear blind there was a bloke in the crowd who was the spitting image of Nathan Jones
  11. What about Hughie Fisher's last minute equaliser at the Dell against Villa. No equaliser no Wembley five months later.
  12. Can you read bar graphs? If not, come and join me in one my year 7 geography lessons. I'll even let you have a go drawing one of your own.
  13. I will never knock people for earning a decent crust. I’m genuinely really happy for anyone who benefits including you. However, coming on here and acting like a Poundland ‘Loadsamoney’ just makes you look like a complete (unt. really happy for you
  14. 2-0 Stoke
  15. Shame really, came across as one of the good guys. I think the 9-0s scarred him and probably made him question his approach in what is an unforgiving league. There were high points after, but tactically we seemed to retreat into our shells too often more recently. We became less effective as a result, and there was almost an inevitability about today. As I said, a shame.
  16. No issue with me. It's a kind of lame attempt to be sarcastic. we cant do him down for being Luton Manager and only having experience in the Championship then let's go after his religion.
  17. All we need, a god botherer as a manager!
  18. That’s GotM sorted. Everton look shite.
  19. My first memory was of 66. For me Mexico 70 was the eye opener. There was a telly in our form room at secondary school and one of the teachers would show the highlights programme during lunch break. I remember it being packed in there. England v Romania was our opener. Kick off was in the middle of the night IIRC possibly 1am. Remember Keith Newton at right back getting an absolute kicking time after time from the Romanian left back as he overlapped repeatedly down the right. Then there was Brazil. Should have been the final before we beat Czechoslovakia with an Allan Clarke pen. I don't remember much about the final group game but all of them ended 1-0. And then England got knocked out. Remember as a 12 year old really struggling to get my head around that. Looking back, I suppose Sir Alf recognised Bobby Charlton's importance to the team and took him off to save him for the semi-final at 2 up. I mean Colin Bell was by no means a shabby player but Charlton had kept Beckenbauer occupied. Once he was off Beckenbauer had licence to go forward. It was afternoon game and remember watching it in disbelief as the second half unfolded. Bonetti letting in one under his body and Seeler's freak header. I think the Germans bought on Grabowski who stretched us down the right which lead to the final header back across goal and Gerd Muller on his own in the six yard box, with The Cat no chance to save it. Its funny how games imprint themselves on your memory. On a Saints related note would have been good to see Micky Channon in a WC but failing to qualify in 74 and 78 meant that was never to be. Also Ossie, obviously then with Chelsea, made two appearances as sub in group games.
  20. Evidently Kari Lake the GOP candidate in the Arizona gubernatorial election has stated that the only result she will accept is if she wins the governorship. Couldn't make it up. Also MTG has gone on record today that the GOP will not pay a penny more to Ukraine if they win the House. Not policy, but scarily she may have a senior position after the mid-terms. Somehow over this side of the pond looks sane.
  21. Amazing the invective he seems to generate.
  22. Fuck off then!
  23. This hasn't aged well. Pick the lies and misinformation out of it!
  24. Occasionally listen to O'Brien, but hes a bit of a windbag at times. His shtick is 'compassion for the conned, contempt for the conman.' Not showing a huge amount of compassion towards this 'conned' caller.
