I had the feeling while watching tonight that we’d played how Ralph would have had us playing had he not had to compromise after the 9-0s. Not exactly the football version of ‘Bazball, but a positive step in the right direction. Great stuff.

Couldn’t agree more. Villa away last year the rot began to set in. Whatever the reason it’s been a long time coming. Just our luck that we didn’t get a new manager bounce with NJ with the same players who’ve been fucking it up for nearly year. Sadly I think the toxicity it has generated has come to a head, it’s almost a ‘perfect storm’ for NJ. Pre restart I genuinely thought 4/9 points would be doable from our first three games. Lose v Brighton, point at Fulham, beat Forest at home. NJ isn’t my choice of manager and he comes over as a bit abrasive but using the latter as a stick to beat him with will get us nowhere. Just adds more toxicity. Perhaps listening less to the opinions of a bunch of ‘Stokies’ might be a help? up for nearly a year
