Also cursed by comments about Europe, plenty of goals this afternoon, 9 points out of 9 against Villa, Newcastle and Watford. You know how it goes?🙂

Wondering how this matters? Not being snarky btw. -

Ahh Brexit the gift that keeps on giving! Sums up in one post the absolute stupidity of the whole exercise, with Johnson held by the short and curlies by the fascist wing of the Tory Party. Nice bike though, as you say great bang for bucks. Pleased for you that you've got it back. Ride safe and strong in 2022.

If ever there was evidence of the effect of Covid on cancer treatment, I offer this. I have a letter in my possession dated from 24/11. I am quoting directly from it. “Unfortunately at this present time, due to the pressures of the cancer backlog, I am currently booking complex cancer patients into theatre slots in February 2022.Therefore I am not in a position to offer this lady surgery at Imperial College, which is something I am sorry for.” My wife received this letter two weeks ago on 26th Nov, she passed away on Sunday.

Inevitable, all the confidence in the world. How people fancied our chances? After all it's only Norwich - Over-confident team and support. The banana skin was strategically placed and we duly slipped on it. As usual the response on here to defeat is predictable. New players, new manager, blah, blah, blah! I hate losing as much as the next person, but not losing sleep over this one.

For a number of years we did AI in Makadi Bay close to Hurghada but not in winter. As a teacher we went for the full on summer blast during school hols. Snorkelling was, as others have testified, great. Hurghada Airport is a place of nightmares especially when planes arrive from Moscow, Novosibirsk and Gatwick at the same time. Best winter sun we've done was Feb half-term in the Maldives but obviously a long way away and not cheap.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

John Redwood’s been doing it for years here. -
I heard this from a Colorectal surgeon who operated on my wife in March 2020. She’s had a few issues with the oncology team treating her and raised this with him during a stay in hospital last week. According to the guy who has a reputation second to none as one the really good guys, the same oncology team had had to deal with 14 people all under 48 in the last week diagnosed with cancer who are untreatable due to late diagnoses. This is one large hospital in the Thames Valley. If repeated across the UK the fallout may well likely be greater than that of the pandemic.

I agree. Point that I was making was in essence that everything may be possible if people vote tactically. I’ve voted in 8 GE. Each time my Labour vote is was effectively a wasted vote in Wokingham constituency.
-
Exactly the point I was making in response to Warriorsaint, who is misguided if he thinks the Tories will be voted out just because he says it will happen. The reality portrayed in this example I have given suggests otherwise.
-
I would worry as we won’t, sorry. Take my local constituency for example. The sitting Tory MP is loathed both locally and nationally by opposition parties and voters, but can garner enough of the local vote to keep getting re-elected. In 2019 he got 49.6% of the vote. The combined anti-Tory vote was 50.2%. It would take the Labour Party and Green Party to step aside to give the Lib-Dems (37.7%) a free run. I can’t see that happening.

As a local resident I well remember the sudden surge in Reading fans, particularly noticeable in kids in school. I was working in Bracknell where Most of them were Chelsea fans one day and Reading the next. Last couple of seasons seen a surge in Brentford watchers.

I remember watching the Leeds televised first game of the season on holiday and thought, shit we look good!
