I think the point being made by the other poster is that Brighton performed so poorly even the Skates could have beaten them (did you see the inept defending?) which might suggest that Wham have not suddenly found the blinding form that has eluded them so far.

Reading's performance was a fine example of defending deep and hitting us on the break. They did their basic defensive duties extremely well and we did not. They were clinical in finishing their (three) chances and we were not. There's all to play for. Keep our nerve and we'll go up. Once you are in the PL nobody gives two hoots whether you did so as champions. Who is to say Reading won't drop any more points anyway.

Reading simply doubled up on him forcing him too often to pass back to Butterfield to lob crosses from deep that were easier for their centre backs to defend than crosses from the byline. Consequently, but for one decent cross from the byline, he was largely ineffective.

There are some stats on the FL website. Same number of league goals as Lallana, similar number of assists, similar number of shots. He figures reasonably highly in the Actim rankings. But I suspect facts don't make a jot of difference to those that have closed their minds to Guly.
