  1. Thank you RB for your understanding. I must stand up now and admit " I am a nut-job". There I said it. I came out of St Mary's after the single most one sided, best display, Saints win in years, and the first thing I looked for was the Skates result. I am certainly badly effected. Do I need help? No I don't. I am happy in my affliction..
  2. I think the HNW's have played an absolute blinder so far. They have identified an asset, and have acquired it. No not PFC but Nottarf Crap. They have done this using more of the publics money than their own. Having acquired the asset they have managed to persuade the council to relinquish the covenant over that land. It is now worth far more than they paid for it. They have also by careful positioning of adjoining land, trapped that asset making the development of the asset impossible for the sitting tenants. All the have to do now is to get rid of the sitting tenants. By placing a succession of their own men in control of PFC they have brought the current tenants to the brink of brankruptcy. With just a little more incompetency over the next few weeks their new man in control will have completed the task, PFC will no longer exist, and they will have a fat juicy bit of prime building land for sale... Brilliant. P.S. Although I read this thread most days I rarely post. Does that make me a junior nut-job, or is the a socialist thread where we are all equal members in the pleasure gained from our neighbours anguish.
  3. Bizarrely isn't Mauricio the 8th longest serving manager in the PL. Personally I would be very pleased if he stays. Watching the training videos and listening to Les Reed last night it would seem that the relationship between Mauricio and the squad is good. Les saying he is a coach rather than a 'manager'.
  4. I had the unfortunate necessity to be in New Road Fratton, the last two Saturday afternoons. I saw no Skate shirts, at all. I was wearing a fleece with a huge Saints crest on it. The only person who approached me was a Manure fan. I don't know where the 250.000 faithful were, but they weren't in Fratton.
  5. Personally I would prefer to return to stripes. However, the 'Turkish' shirt choice would be a good alternative. ( I like others am in some sort of agreement with Turkish, weird or what).
  6. Unfortunately tpbury some don't have a life outside the internet. Anyway this is the most I've written on any thread in a long time, and as I don't consider it worthwhile anymore to pay my £5 this is my last post of the day. I'll return to the nut job thread occasionally, because it provides constant humour, and gives you a warm feeling, not that warm feeling you get when you laugh to much when your old either. TTFN. 7. I remember about 5 or 6 years ago, a thread developed on religion, Christianity, and lose of faith. It contained the usual silly comments and nut job reactions, but all in the good humoured respect that gets us along. It developed to the point where people opened up to some innermost secrets and revelations, and I understand it proved quite cathartic to one or two. That thread would be impossible now. For one thing it wouldn't get to more than 1 post without some moron trolling in with both barrels blazing, and more pertinently, no one would feel safe to unload their personal lives and feelings, in the knowledge that some complete moron would troll in running roughshod over every thread. As I said before, please have some self respect take some responsibility for yourselves.
  8. I too have virtually given up posting on here. It for me also has become the site of reasoned, sometimes funny, discussions, of opposing views, overtaken and dominated by a few trolls. Who's combined d!ckheadedness is slowly ruining the main forum site. Now I realise it is better that this openness to all posters is continued, rather than the site of that lot down the road, who ban all who don't toe the line with their particular agenda. However, with this freedom comes responsibility. Please all you mongs and trolls have a little self respect, don't show the world what utter idiots you are, don't be complete wassocks all your lives.
  9. Watching the highlights, This was at least the third time Carroll had flailed his arm about at opposition players, so maybe a little bit of justice was served.
  10. The Sky Sports leader, has now disappeared oddly. Just going on about Kevin Phillips and also some boxer. Strange that.
  11. I love all this takeover talk. With all the doom and gloom going on about the NC leaving/ not leaving / brinkmanship/etc.... It's nice to have an upbeat fun tounge-in-cheek total fantasy thread.
  12. Isn't his contract up in the summer. Maybe why Wolfsburg willing to sell now.
  13. Either apathy, or more likely economics. With prices of everything going up, including tickets, people have to be increasingly selective on what they spend their cash on.
  14. Salisbury City, £14 adult £5 under 16's.
  15. Took Mrs LS to a European game at the Dell on one of our first 'dates'. She was actually born in @@@@@@@@@muff but purely because that's where the nearest hospital was at the time. We got married in 1984, and she has been an ardent Saints supporter since our first days together back in 1980. We have both yet again renewed our season tickets in the Northam. We share a common interest in Saints and on the 2or maybe 3 occasions I haven't been able to go together she has gone with one of my daughters, who are also Saints mad. In fact we make a day of home matches. Travelling to the big city of Southampton, having a spot of per- match lunch, attending the match and then finding a good pub for a evening meal together. Can recommend it.
  16. Q. What does a skate girl use for protection during sex? A. A bus shelter.
  17. Went into Southampton today for the first time since shirts were released. Only saw 2 young kids wearing the new shirts. Saw far more last season, striped and sash shirts. First time had seen new shirts 'live' as it were, do look cheap and tacky. Last year saw the then new shirts in Salisbury where I work, on release date, not seen one in all this time this year. Sales must be down surely. I wonder if perhaps next time the club will listen to the fans for once.
  18. Actually, I'm a proud "moonraker" as are several on here.
  19. My e-mail to the club although as much from the heart as yours, to my detriment, was a little less diplomatic than yours. My words were a little shorter and more succinct but I feel carried the sentiment I was looking for. May I make a suggestion. Please if ignore me (just as the club probably will) but please could all those who feel that the loss of the stripes is as I do a loss of a bit of our heritage, please e-mail, snail mail, tweet, phone or however suits you, inform the club of your displeasure at seeing our heritage thrown out like some piece of old cloth.
  20. What an absolute pile of sh!te. I was wrong yesterday, I saw the leaked photo. Assumed it was a poor photoshop, and was happy then. This morning just heightens that shock. What absolute rubbish. Bring back the stripes.
  21. I love this site... Somebody puts a badly photoshopped shirt on a cardboard box., and people think its real... Same sort of people who believe in politicians, and fairies at the bottom of your garden. Unless I'm missing the tongue in cheek comments, of course.

  23. To the nut jobs out there. This £5.75m that Cheats FC are getting, is that their last and only remaining PP. And how does it relate to heir accounts in relation to all the debts they were going to repay with it. I know I should have been listening in class and taking notes, but unfortunately I have always been one to sit in back of class not paying attention. I need the input from the class swats to help me.
  24. Just thought its not the Shroppie in Stoke it's the Trent and Mersey, however at the other end is Liverpool, so Liverpool and Everton can be added to my list.
